@FbenZ : I am sure there are many more out there who claim that they can take any car anywhere and drive it along this same patch, using the tip of their tongue.
I m not a big fan of Range rover, though i agree it is good, but the local dealer in the region has overpriced aftersales service for RR... G class i know it is good, but at this moment i cannot afford it... I m happy with the ML...
I really dont like LC. i have driven them, but they lack the stability on road which mercedes ML has. . A car with High CG, more power than it can control, which i think is a typical japanese mindset, where safety is an option. Anyday i would prefer a bigger ML, especially the G class with serious off road and on road abilities... remember i m not a millionaire to have two vehicles for different purposes each. but it is also means I would not invest into an LC, when it is not worth the money...
it depends on model and year...my 98 ml 320 does not allow me to disable ESP... but switching to low range definitely helps and makes sure your gears and torque are ok.
Well ML is classified as a AWD (All Wheel drive)... which means it is always on 4WD... yet unlike other suv, it doesnot have diff locks, but uses 4ETS system for assisting it in rough terrain... I would switch off the ESP and use the Low rang option in difficult terrains... If anyone else can assist on this topic, please do...
yes ur observation is accurate, it was the first time i tried off roading... i did try two leg (brake/acc) approach... but i need a lot of practice... well off roading is an occasional adventure for us so i would rather leave the bumpers on... i wouldnt take any route that needs to touch my bumber...;) thank u for the advice...
I can do this with Mitsu Shogun / Pajero with coffee in one hand.. :p .. Q , will ML tackle big dunes?
