If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.
Ur puttin too much pressure on the flatiron and that's the sqeaky noise that you hear...if you continue to do that your goin to damage your ends...just a quick tip Have A Blessed Day!
does it matter what kind of flat iron you use? should I spend the money on a CHI? I will if it's worth it.. my hair is very soft and gets PUFFY so puffy when it's blow dry.. when I flat iron it still doesn't lay as flat as I'd like.. any tips? is it just my flat iron? just a $50 ceramic one..lol
@TheTruthisHair do you choose not to use a heat protectant b/c of the typical product build-up and the overhype of commercial products you discussed 1 one of your beware of product videos?
when I wash my hair it is extremely thick.. I can only get it as thick as yours if I blow dry it on low heat :( and when I press my hair I can't go no lower than 360.. If I go lower than that, it would be as if the flat iron is doing nothing to my hair lol
My hair is almost as long as yours. Coconut oil is awesome! I started using a two inch plate flat iron. I get my hair done in less time. I'm so impatient doh! xD
Thanks for your reply, next time I pressI will give it a try. i do moisturize daily inside and out, meaning water and green juice for the inside and coconut oil, olive oil and Eygyptian Magic for my hair when it is straight or curly..
So simple not a lot of diferent products, love coconut oil for my natural hair. I never thought of using it to press hair with. I still use a pressing comb and stove when my hair is straightened every three or four months. What do you think about using a pressing comb with the coconut oil?

I think it should be fine. BUT I WILL STRESS DAILY MOISTURE to replenish what's lost when you apply heat.
