Told him how I was impressed with how well they pulled off their album sound, live. Told him Devin's the only artist I knew (at that point) that could do that. I could tell he was shocked by the comparison. Told me that was one of the greatest compliments any fan has ever given him.
I think Devin Townsend is very hit and miss. However, this is a major "hit." One of the best songs ever for if I am in a strange mood and want a "trance" sounding song.
Devin is simply one of the most talented people in music today. This song is really one of his best, has been since Biomech was released. It's pretty much his "Echoes", I think.
This is pure Art. Not just music ... I'm a metal fan, of course, but I listen to some other styles of music (not as much as I'd want to though)... and I think Devin Townsend is one of the greatest artists in music.
Canadians can add great music on top of their hockey and health care, the little buggers. also a big fan of Jeff Waters of Annihilator, who is from Canada :D
This is such a fantastic song. The album arrived yesterday morning and I this is standout track for me. I think his vocals sound absolutely fucking brilliant, like a reincarnation of Dio or something, especially on the screamy bit at the climax, anyone who has heard Stargazer by Rainbow will know what I am talking about I think.

iv been listening to this guy for about a year now and i still cant get over how amazing he is. each new album and song has something different yet still absolutely perfect in its own way.
The death of music. the song alone captures the meaning of the title. the starts song is at such a basic beat....slow..and with Interwoven sounds and voices in the mix behind it. the song alone gives the feeling that Music, if it were something organism like...is at a struggle to live...on its last breathes before Decaying.

The death of music. the song alone captures the meaning of the title. the starts song is at such a basic beat....slow..and with Interwoven sounds and voices in the mix behind it. the song alone gives the feeling that Music, if it were something organism like...is at a struggle to live...on its last breathes before Decaying.
