I did this on my eastsheen 5x5 but it didn't seem to evaporate and make the thin white layer of lube that it did on all my other cubes. It was sort of sticky even after abut an hour and a half so i wiped it all of and was back at original settings any suggestions, and do you recommend using jig-a-loo on it? Thanks
Yeah I did use crc heavy duty silicone, the one from walmart, I have used jig-a-loo on my es 4x4 and it worked fine, but if you have any advice it would be nice to hear it. Thanks anyways jsut searchin for ways to make it better, lol.
Ok well i guess I'll try to use jig-a-loo, I'll let you know how that goes, maybe it was because i sprayed the silicone outside in like 80 or 90 degree weather, but i don't know.
Eastsheens are so smooth already, when i lubed mine it made it slower, because all it did was increase surface area of the pieces. Maybe it will be better if i loosen the screws a bit?
yea, loosen the screws. i bought 2 eastsheen 4x4x4's and i lubed one, then loosened the screws for the other. the one that i loosened the screws for worked a lot better and was much smoother. when u loosen the screws, be careful not to loosen too much, other wise it will fall apart. =D
hey plurple i just got silicone today and its the exact same as your wat a coincidence(spelled it wrong) and my 3x3 was fast instantly i guess cuz i had wd 40 in it but hey mines really fast now it brought my times down by 30 seconds!! silicone FTW!!!
I need help cos i tried lubing my eastsheen 4x4 and i popped out two edges and sprayed the lube right in there, and spun it around so that i'd lubed like one layer, then i did it to the other side, the opposite later. Then while i was working it in it just broke and fell apart and the same thing happened when i did it to my eastsheen 5x5 only hours later. The screw that attaches to the centre piece completely broke. Why is my silicone breaking my cubes? Do i need to use the straw?
guys, i lubed my cube 5x5 w/ crc heavy duty silicon, it is a rubik's brand. Problem now is that so edge pieces are "stuck" to the center pieces, and I can only turn 2 sides, PLz HELP!
i just received a new es 5x5 and it's REALLY tight! how do i first loosen it up before even lubing it? i know how do do this with the 4x4 but i'm affraid to dissassemble the 5x5
plz help! explain step by step how to loosen the 5x5!
is it rubiks or eastsheen? wat i would do is solve it lots of times till it lossens up, then put lube in it, it'll be slow at first but just mix it in.
Is it possible to do the same thing with 4x4x4 and lubricate it that way?

DO NOT EVER DO THIS WITH RUBIK'S, IT WILL COMPLETELY MESS YOUR CUBE UP!

plurple75 3 years ago
i use '5 star' "amazing silicone spray"
it doesnt specify details like percentage of silicone or anything so i dunno. But i used it on my rubik's brand 3x3 and it worked wonders.
