I googled the Ho-II but all I get is the Horton 229...the actual twin engined bomber. They have very detailed drawings for that available but I'm looking for a simpler aircraft that exhibits flutter, etc. as noted in the comments.

The flying wing concept had been understood and models made since the 1850's not only far ahead of the Germans but far ahead of the actual materials that would make it a reality. Untrue: the flying wing are tested in same time in France (Fauvel with he's autostable (looks a bit like a flying plank) and Northrop in the USA with "Horthen like" delta wings...The B2 is based on the Northrop works, not Horten, and the Fauvel wings was use on gliders in France and in the USA from Jim Marske (see the actual Genesis II glider...)

I googled the Ho-II but all I get is the Horton 229...the actual twin engined bomber. They have very detailed drawings for that available but I'm looking for a simpler aircraft that exhibits flutter, etc. as noted in the comments.

False: The flying wing was invent by the French Perot and Gauchot in 1876 (no flying concept), but realy flying wings are built before WW2 ~in same time by French (Fauvel), German (Horten) and USA Northrop...2 different ways: Fauvel with a straight autostable airfoil untwisted wing, excellent for gliders, and the other with delta non autostable airfoils and twisted wings better for high speed...

@oiseautempete Correct however the mans name was Alphonse Penaud and Gauchot was his mechanic. The flying wing concept had been understood and models made since the 1850's not only far ahead of the Germans but far ahead of the actual materials that would make it a reality. Many of todays designs come from the French who were crazy about flying in the early days.

Untrue: the flying wing are tested in same time in France (Fauvel with he's autostable (looks a bit like a flying plank) and Northrop in the USA with "Horthen like" delta wings...The B2 is based on the Northrop works, not Horten, and the Fauvel wings was use on gliders in France and in the USA from Jim Marske (see the actual Genesis II glider...)

I believe Nazi Germany had a great many excellent scientists and engineers under their thumb. Who both voluntarily and not invented and developed machinery that's evolved into what is used today. Superior--maybe in many ways, but certainly ill used. I'd say if it weren't for the attempt at world domination that had to be quashed, Germany could have risen to be a super power in today's world. If they had had more time for R&D before declareing war, it might of been really bad for us. Its amazing how many MAJOR blunders Hitler made, ( luckely ). At the end of the war, America grabbed up many of those scientists in " Operation Paperclip " to keep them out of Russian hands and help propel American tech !

@iroscoe I suppose Hitler could of got out of Germany by U-Boat, or some other method earlier if he wanted to. However, he would of been hunted down, captured and executed nontheless. The war was lost and there was no place to run or hide, and he knew it. The Captain goes down with the ship ! If I said three years ahead, would you agree with that ??
