  • hope it aint to late but dont take down your locs thyre perfect how they are...

  • @wfarmer1000 too laaate!

  • Oh wow, really? I can't wait to see that process although a teeny bit lost one of my loc inspirations is on the take down but good luck with that and your new journey :)

  • I just watched yr vid about the colour and rem u said u were taking down your locs. Have u changed yr mind? I recently tried to take down my back row of 3 yr twisted locs n gave up after 45 mins, lol. Patience is def needed for this process, you have lovely locs btw..

  • @DollyMat i'm actually editing that video right now! it should be up in a couple of hours

  • Will it be difficult to take down the latched locs?

  • Lawd!! Help me!! Wait...did the earth stop spinning 'cos i just fell over??

Just kidding girl, as if I can say anything after me and Lakesha went and got an Obama cut. LOL I hope it works for you and I can't wait to see the vids. Much <3

  • Initial reaction....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Lol! Just kidding. Do what works for you. That's the joy of natural hair's versatility. I love your thick locs but I feel you on the need for change. Good luck with your take down and enjoy your loose hair. (Bless you @ 3:41)

  • I am in the process of taking down my locs because I want smaller locs next time around. I have about 74 locs and I find it hard to style them. My locs are mostly latched but use the tpin when I run into a knot so it not so bad. I am using a rat tail comb, queen helene cholesterol conditioner, wig pin (Tpin) and a rat tail comb.....So far so good. I wish you luck on your new journey.

  • i find that just using water works better then using conditioners. and bless you lol. and i used the tail end of a metal tail comb..also i have partcial latched and partial rolled and the latched parts were no harder then the regular parts.

  • @pheonixphire - Ok...I'm being nosey... Did you take yours down too?

  • @qochemist not all of them..just a few of the bigger ones. my plan was to take them all down and restart them smaller..but i actually like the size of some of them so i am only taking down the ones i combined in year1. i can tell which ones they are. its funny becasue i combined them becasue i thought they would be too small..it wasn't full. but if i had just been patient i would have saw they were the exact size i had in mind i just needed to let them fill in. i've learned how to size them.

  • @qochemist what i didnt know then that i know now..is that its not the size of the baby loc that will determine the size of the mature loc..its the size of the base lol.

  • really wow im loooking forward to seeing the new look my nubian sista:)

  • wow good luck. i guess everybody is letting go of he journey. i cut my locs too...

  • @PrettiBoiShai you cut them completely off?! cutting mine helped my love them a little longer, but now that they're growing back im ready for a change.

  • @lillydot yup...im rockin a low cut right now.

  • @PrettiBoiShai WHAT! YOU CUT YOUR LOX!?? did you do a video becasue i didn't see one in my inbox.

  • @pheonixphire lol nah i havent made a video yet

  • Thanks 4 the update and good luck.

  • O you got the 8 year itch to break up with your locs. Well your journey must have taught you lots of patience to be able to even think about taking that much time to take them down.

That's interesting that you don't like your diamond parts, I was thinking that if I ever started again I would do diamond parts.

  • @afronique i like the diamonds. i've heard some ppl say it makes the hair look more full. but i've seen so many styles that just work so much better with straight parts, especially if they're smaller. if i were to re-loc them and keep them this thickness or thicker, i would do diamonds again, i think.

  • @lillydot - o, ok

  • are you going to video your take down? wishing you success and patience in the process!

  • @FyshandGrits of course! i'm already planning the logistics of how i'm gonna set up the camera to get the best angle! LOL

  • good luck on your journey my locs have a lil length now lol (cant put it in a pony tail just yet but still =P) you been a big inspiration to me will be keeping an eye out on your new journey Bless!! ^^
