  • what a baller we got in Rubio...Padder is an idiot.

  • ¿es el juego para el timberwolves esta ano?

  • this guys gonna grow old fast

  • he should be big for minnesota if he went out of spain

  • @hariznl He will go to minnesota next season!

  • @iLolitsMe

if you compare the number of white superstars with the total number of respective white players and then do the same for black players(im just using white and black for the arguments sake) then white players arent bad.

nowitzki, gasol, griffin, nash, kidd, (yao), ginobili

gallinari, bellinelli, barea, dragic, kaman, bogut aint bad either.

  • why isnt he in the nba ????

  • kid was crapping all over nba all stars in the Olympics

  • I thought one of the players in green was a chick

  • im not counting out rubio or anything, hes really good. However, people shudnt get toooooo high on him cuz we are living in the era of point guards

  • rubio isn't gonna do good in the NBA

  • Brandon Jennings came in the NBA after a year (or two?) in spain, and Rubio was rated equal, or even a bit higher than him in Spain. Jennings has made it in the NBA, why can't Rubio?

  • @MrRobbi13 jennings has never played in spain...

    he played in italy...

  • Brandon Jennings came in the NBA after a year (or two?) in spain, and Rubio was rated equal, or even a bit higher than him in Spain. Jennings has made it in the NBA, why can't Rubio?

  • @MrRobbi13 bcuz jennings is black, no racism or anything, but jst more talented in sports like bball

  • @iLolitsMe Dirk? LARRY BIRD!? hmmm. that is the worst reason i've heard. Jenning's being more athletic, is a legit reason, but "cos he's black"!? jesus christ.

  • @MrRobbi13 if u wanna make a list of black and white superstars in the nba, and see which list is longer be my guest

  • @iLolitsMe u r crazy...

  • He too scared to play in the NBA thats why he might only join T-Wolves next season, already mist 3 seasons after gettin drafted.

  • Rubio is a bust, or if he ever plays in the NBA, he'll disappoint.

  • Theres no way of anyone knowing if he would get "crushed" in the NBA, So really there is no point in anyone saying it, just wait and see, then judge.

  • he reads the floor so well

  • @ziiingerburger,

What does the floor told him?

  • @andrake u are the worst english speaker i have ever seen.

  • @ziiingerburger,

Stupid, I'm not trying to WRITE formally here but to discuss. And by the way, we're not in a discussion here in the form of SPEAKING. Where's your logic? Lol

  • @andrake Nobody has ever liked you.

  • @ziiingerburger,

What an intelligible reply! Oh, isn't it in anyway relevant? Lol

  • @andrake just letting you know.

  • @ziiingerburger,

No need to worry. I already understood based on your comments that you're illogical.

  • @andrake ur so anoying. get laid.

  • Comment removed

  • why i did'nt see him playing in nba?....

  • MANU GINOBLI!!!!

  • I think this guy could be the best basketball plaer ever. He has the skill & IQ. No one can beat that unless you are like a Manu, Kobe, Toni Kukoc, or Michael Jordan

  • pure natural talent, he is like a jason kidd point guard, real traditional playmaker and high IQ

  • anyone other than whereisbasketball tried the nba workout program for dunking and shooting? Even players like Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Arenas have suggested it before. if you want more info,, here 50 inch vertical (dot) com

  • average player you cant pass like that in the nba

  • @bukkabebot hateing cuz he aint american

  • @lakers1302,

It's not that Ricky's not an American but as you have seen, he constantly fails in the Worlds. He's been a starting Point Guard and getting too much playing time while playing Poorly. He's an average at best.

  • @andrake No. Not only Rubio played bad but all the spanish team. We, the spaniards, are getting sick of Sergio Scariolo. He insists on playing slow with a lot of systems. Spain can't play like that, they're creative players, they need to run and improvise in order to work. That's why Rubio doesn't play good with Spain. In 2008 the coach was Aito, now it's Scariolo. Today Rubio played with Barcelona and he came back: 11pts, 9ast. Rubio's gonna be great in the NBA cause that's his style.

  • @u2v3e, Whole Spanish Team played bad? Rudy Fernandez, Juan Carlos Navarro and Marc Gasol did fairly well not for one who stood out... Ricky Rubio who's been playing the most minute and scoring "0" against Lebanon. Guess it's not the coach's fault.

  • @andrake Marc Gasol played good? hahahahahahhaahhahahahahahhahahahahah Navarro and Fran were the only ones who played good. Scariolo's plan was this simple: pass the ball to Navarro and he'll solve it. Rudy played well, yes, but in the match for the fifth place when we we're already eliminated... And what if a PG scores 0? Look at this video: watch?v=-h8FbFW3BAA how can a PG win a game for his team without scoring a single point ;) Rubio's not a scorer, he's a passer.

  • @u2v3e, Marc Gasol played good at least AHEAD of Ricky Rubio. If a PG scores "0" then that only means that his highest playing time is just wasted. And they're only against Lebanon. If my memory serves me right, (need no time to wait searching the google) Ricky Rubio's assists is almost the same in quantity as his Turnover. Besides, I never knew any great PG who can't score. Most of the time, they're a Double-double machine.

  • @andrake You're so wrong. Rubio has the best assist/turnover ratio. I think you're just in love with scoring, black and athletic people and everything surrounding the NBA... Haters gonna hate. I see you can't understand that if a player gives 10 assists, it's like he's scored at least 20pts. See you in a few years, when Rubio is adapted to the NBA. We'll see what happens then and who was right ;)

  • @u2v3e, "In love with scoring, black and athletic people"? Uhhmm, you're very wrong there. I'm sorry if my reference for great Point Guards are the likes of Bob Cousy and Steve Nash. I'm not hating Ricky Rubio. It's more of a reaction. You know, Ricky Rubio has been hailed as the future #1 Draft pick in the NBA and he's been hyped like 3 or 4 years past and as I see it, he's not showing up when it matters most, the World tournament.

  • @u2v3e, Ricky Rubio doesn't even have a Jump shot which attributes as the best asset among Europeans.

  • @andrake absolutly right man a pg without a jump shot is...........

  • @nixdaduda11 rando has no shot n hes 1 of the best pgs in the nba

  • @JeffersonSteelflex26 are you crazy you should watch games of the celtics before commenting!!!!

  • @nixdaduda11 i have seen loads of celtics games and rando cant shoot but he is still 1 of the best pgs in the nba if not the best.

  • @nixdaduda11 PG without a jump shot is called RAJON RONDO for example, and Rubio has improved a lot his jump shot

  • @12Oscart just because he is not taking j shots doesnt meen he cant! trust me he can and that overrated rubio cant! just live with it!

  • @nixdaduda11 No trust me, he can't, if you have ever watched a Celtics game you would note how far back defenders play off of Rondo because he is a very, very poor shooter and doesn't have a quick enough jump shot to pull up with any effectiveness, don't get me wrong, he is a great defender and great passer, but I think his lack of a jumper is what is keeping him from being a top 3 point guard.

  • @u2v3e, "wait" should be "waste"

  • dam, unbelieveable move. whereisbasketball I specifically like the end =) Could you believe I trained hard enough to start dunking! I just completed the the nba excercise routine over at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and did it in just 2 months!

  • reminds me of steve nash in his prime

  • He reminds of Pete Maravich or Steve nash , I hope he stays healthy.

  • whereisbasketball great video, reminds me of me in college - ha. I'm 5 7 and I can windmill dunk. I followed the real nba training plan that that even Kobe and Ray Allen both used. Check out the program at - 50 inch vertical (dot) com

  • average at best

  • i don't know. Never was a fan of Rubio. But i didn't like it how he just opt out of the Timber Wolves like that. That was quite rude.

  • wah he's so cute =)

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID#, on occasion I force myself to bear in mind what it was like well before I could dunk for real. Soon after I used the exercise program at 50 inch vertical (dot) com - my game has been increasing alot - no longer am I on the bench every game!

NBA Draft Watch 2009 - Ricky Rubio

  • Ricky Rubio needs 2 be a Knick

  • So my high school teammate whereisbasketball just told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but leaps over 9 inches higher! What he took the training plan over at 50inch vertical[dot]com and increased over 16 inches in his vertical leap!

NBA Draft Watch 2009 - Ricky Rubio

  • whereisbasketball this vid is the *, that's why I like NBA perhaps even with its problems. I'm using this workout routine that's utilized even by NBA players - | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | - I already jump few ins higher and dominating on the court!

NBA Draft Watch 2009 - Ricky Rubio

  • whereisbasketball seriously if I, could certainly dunk, then even you can. I am just five'eight no joke! Basically follow a real training program like the one at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |, it will enhance your jump/rebounding and your basketball skills.

NBA Draft Watch 2009 - Ricky Rubio

  • what kinda fucktard goes back to spain instead of playin in the NBA?!?! retard...

  • anyone else other than whereisbasketball tested out the nba training system for dunking and shooting? Even Kobe, Ray Allen and Gilbert Arenas have suggested it before. If you have no clue what I'm saying, check out (50 inch vertical [dot] com)

NBA Draft Watch 2009 - Ricky Rubio

  • Legit.

  • I dont understand this!is he really playing in the nba now,i havent seen him playing in any team yet, this guy is full of talent anyway.

  • @pwrbytrd i believe he went back to spain

  • its not that bad but u get hit easier and u get hurt faster

  • naw but nonathlethic he will be shmashed down by an normal bodycontact xD

    skinny bitches

  • absulutly non athletic! just skin and bones sry just watch!

  • Look at Tayshaun Prince you mofo, looks doesn't show how skilled a player is.

  • ricky rubio is good..its possible that he could be the next jason kidd, steve nash of nba...peace oll...

  • Comment removed

  • Outside America, everybody knows him.

The boy is a monster. When he developes his shot, propably he´ll be the best guard in the whole world. Besise his passes, he´s a gret defender too.

    Cheers form Brazil!

    FLUMINENSE FC

  • dont believe the hype. he still got a lot to prove, but he sure got talent! Hope you get a great career!

  • Ricky Rubio should go to Lakers because as what i have read in the blog of derek fisher 2010-2011 season would be his last season and he would retire..If Rubio would be replacing Fisher the Lakers would definitely be a BEAST team..

  • Yes, they will be the best team because Ricky is the best guard.

  • C - Dwight Howard

    PF - Blake Griffin

    SF - Kevin Durant

    SG - Brandon Roy

    PG - Chris Paul

In just 5-6 Years u can have urself a championship team if ur willing to suck for that 5-6 years. Amazing huh?

  • lol even then all being different teams itll be kinda hard getin them together but hey anything can happen =D

  • @The911Venom lol

  • hey, hey, hey in the words of kevin garnett

    anthing is possible!!!

  • @The911Venom uhhmmmm..ok..

  • considering his age he is not that serious omg wow the hope they put on this kid on being the nex international great get the fuck outta here with this weak shit, like it's above average but forreal forreal i've seen better in BROOKLYN dis nigga can't compare to B.jennings to, how does he have all these views, this sucka's moves are fucking WEAK

  • This was with the JKV Joventut hes now playing with Regal u might wanna check him out some newer videos and tell me that u dont c anything outta him after a few vids

  • You fuckhead nobody compared him to Jennings. Plus, Jennings is a year older and is already going to have one or two nba seasons under his belt before Rubio departs for the NBA. Rubio will be an all star by his 3rd NBA Season.

  • everyone compared him to jennings before the draft? the all wanted to know who was the better pg coming out of Europe

  • @realTXballa

    definitely jennings!

  • put him in a good center like dwight howard.

it will be all day all night alley oop.

  • what team is he on now?

  • i think fc barcelona but in 2years he ll go to the wolves

  • yeah barcelona bought him but im telling yall in 2 years time they wont have rubio in nba, the guy waste his chance, hes not thaaat good, believe me he will stay in spain

  • nothing special

  • I'm inclined to disagree. His court vision, defensive abilities, and passing skill is quite good. Notice how every pass he makes goes right to the player's hands, right where it needs to be? Combine that with the explosiveness of some NBA players, and I think you will have little reason to doubt his abilities.

  • ok. but for me he's not good enough for NBA . train harder ..

  • its funny how people give negative comments when the person is not from the US. :)

  • its not even like that, he is not that SERIOUS, he just isnt like u know this, n forget what kobe and them said about them that is "media" the fake bullshit, what other reason would he have for backing out, oh yeah he doesn't want his limited talent being exposed

  • yup your right, maybe not because he is 18 years old and wants to spend 2 more years getting stronger and being an actaul teenager before he goes to foreign environment for the rest of his life...but your "limited" talent theory is probably right

  • you are the one telling bullshit. He wanted to go to NBA this year but he didnt have enough money for his buyout

  • @rexpinsel who gives a fuck we are talking about whether he is a 5 star proffesional basketball player (NBA) or not, if he has what it takes to play in the big leagues, its funny how you make a stupid comment for attention online

  • @ponycab1 fuck u cock sucker

  • @rexpinsel i don't see yao ming with negative comments, a lot of people just realize that rubio didn't play in the nba because he expected to be on the richest team with the most skill, well that won't happen because he's an early pick and he is supposed to build franchises not suddenly play in one, like he did in barcelona. The NBA is a lot more different than internationals my man.

  • next best thing the new maravich!

  • got it... from spain...

he´s a really good player... i have to admit it....

so, i hope we can see him on tv being part of an important NBA basketball team...

i totally go for foreings in the NBA...

  • where the hell is he from?

  • spain

  • overated!

  • yeahh hes got a crapload of potential but he's definitely too young to call the best ever or anything

  • He'll need to work on his jump shots.

  • name of song ???

  • is it jagla who makes the 1st alley oop ?

  • yes

  • Amo a Ricky!!

    Ricky the best :D

  • Well Papanikolaou....the MVP of 18- 20year oldman tournament at eurobasket 2009 is far better.....

  • you guys really shouldnt rate him until u see him play for at least 3 years in the NBA. Even Kobe Bryant got comments like how im hearing now about ricky when he first came out but he ended up being the best in the game right now. Like ricky could adjust to the game. just give him some time, he just 18.

  • I think he has good court vision But in these highlights i see alot of defenders makin mistakes that players in the NBA dont make

  • I don't like this kid at all. He is a bust for Minnesota and he is very over hyped. I was hoping he would come to the NBA and show Rubio nuthuggers how bad he would do.

  • He is definitely not overhyped. The Spanish league is really good. Look at the number of Spanish players in the NBA. Whoever excels there - and rubio did at the age of 17 - will excel at any level. This is not some backwater collegue where an overhyped player puts some gaudy statistics together. This translates directly into the NBA.

  • so whats the big deal? i few magic wanabe passes in a dud leauge. spanish bums

  • really? Did you see what the Spaniards did (without Gasol) in the World championship finals agianst Greece, the same Greece that eliminated the US? They annihilated them. I lived in Spain and I saw Spanish basketball. It is excellent by any standard. Spain brought 4 pgs into the NBA. That is not an accident.

  • Hes played internationally.. he was 17 starting against lebron. everyones saying lets wait and see how he does against nba level oppenents, he has! and he did well. silver medal.

He got three triple doubles and a quadruple double at the under 16 world championships. scoring 50 in the final. No american has acheived that.

Thats what the big deal is.

  • BEST ANSWER EVER

  • @Raawr77 against crappy basketball teams. I bet you any nba star would dominate and easily get quadruple doubles. Think about the level he's playing at.

  • @ChesongDanielLee No, you idiot.

He got those triple doubles and that quadruple double at the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. Against USA among other teams, learn how to read. No NBA player has ever done that, even though most of them have been to that tournament. He was playing against the best the US had to offer and he dominated them.

  • @ChesongDanielLee Yet you forget that was the U16 Championships. None of the now-NBA but past American palyers that were in the U16 accomplished what he did. Think about the level he and everyone else were playing at.

  • @Raawr77 yeah?go suck rickys cock while your at it

  • @Raawr77,

Silver medal was won by the Spanish Team not by Ricky Rubio. It was actually Pau's and Rudy's not Ricky's. Look how he fared in FIBA 2010, those triple and quadruple doubles and scoring 50 doesn't help his team win even the Bronze medal. He's average is like 3, 3, 3, with lots of Fouls and Turnovers. Lol

  • @Raawr77

Listen, Rubio isn't unique in his age. At 18 Lebron and Kobe were tearing up the NBA and Rubio is no where near where those guys were at his age.

The daily grind of the NBA is an entirely different world from playing against a team USA in international play. The ONLY reason he's being considered is because he played against team USA at age 17. It sparks interest and shows potential.

Right now though, he would get crushed in the NBA.

  • the boy is smooth but hyped up nonetheless

  • I think Minnesota is going to trade him to New York.

  • Ricky Rubio is a pimp, you better get him to America, bitches

  • haha ricky rubio blows this kid is overrated and he barley scores with weak spain defense

  • wonder why he goes 5th overall?

  • overhyped white dude

  • exactly!

  • its going to take a couple of years to get use to the nba. but he will be good later on.

  • Comment removed

  • i think its redicoulous anyone who says rubio wont do well in the NBA... this is a totally new style to the NBA, this is something we haven't seen the American PG or the Combo Guard isn't the only type that can hang in the NBA, im not saying he's going to be the best player ever but i am saying you can't write him out before you even see him against NBA guards.

  • you might want to check on thebasketballblogger, com to see if there are any stories, polls, or commentary on Rubio. I think he might be a special player. This site is for all that is basketball and you seem like a true basketball fan.

  • It all depends on if the NBA refs allow him to use his off hand like they did in the Olympics. It *should* be an offensive foul, and the officiating was pretty much the only reason he didn't get completely destroyed by Paul and Kidd. Watch the games again, you'll see when you look closely.

  • Brandon will knock his ass off.Hes too soft,he couldnt make thats why he quited.

  • that nigga need to beef up

  • the best video of Ricky Rubio here:

    Title: Ricky Rubio Tribute

    by: HyM1215

  • I think this kid could be great in the NBA... most importantly, he'll be playing with and against the best... once he has quality teammates to pass the ball to, his passing will get dramatically better, IMHO.

  • nothing special, even boring

  • man, this pple r fukin huge. u look at those guys and rubio is already 6'5, hes gonna be good

  • this guy is a sick player.

  • killa, kick it here.

  • simple highlights

  • a lot of the time European players are busts like Andrea Bargniani, Danillo Gallinari and many more

  • Andrea Bargniani was not a bust. He averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds per game last season. How does that make him a bust? Nobody, not even the Raptors who drafted him, expected him to be a total superstar and they don't need him to be since they already had Chris Bosh at that position on the court. Next time do everyone a favor by researching the subject rather than just saying stuff on a subject which you have shown you are heavily uneducated . Thank you.

  • Why would the raptors draft a #1 pick and not expect to have him be a superstar? And btw you don't have to be a douche bag about it.

  • Yeah but I am so GOOD at being a douche bag about it!

  • Yeah thats the only thing your probably good at

  • Yeah at least you're good at two things: being a douche and being ignorant. Love you.

  • Now I know another thing your good at loving men. Btw im not ignorant Bargniani is a bust cant make a post move to save his lilfe

  • Neither can Dwight Howard. And apparently he doesn't need to make post moves because he is doing just fine without them.

  • Bargniani can't rebound either 5 rebs a game for a center is pathetic

  • Italians? Pfft. The Spaniards are bringing it in the NBA.

  • I think one day he will be the best player

  • these arent even his good highlights hes much better. And statistics overseas dont make a player. look at brandon jennings. he scored 5 points per game in italy and 3 assists. hes a much better player.

  • FTW that pass. damn.

  • he is the best

  • he scored a three at 00:58 u dumbass

  • i think he meant he made one shot nonetheless the other dude is right

  • he makes not 1 point in this video. so he's good at assists and has some defence, and can pass.

  • Sportspresstv. com is a high school ranking and recruiting website geared to finding players that are under the radar.

  • this guy is easy to underestimate on appearance but i mean his sheer domination of the european championships A division was unbelievable.....i mean i played in the championships a year after him and the playing level was extremely high against teams like germany and england in the B DIVISION! we finished in a respectful position for such a small country with ZERO funding - ireland -
