You know, your tutorial is awesome! I did this on my Hrap2sa, and has this setup now. Thanks for all your help, may others have the luck to try happ cherry switches too.
do you think using just the stock Sanwa spring is ok with a cherry mod? Because I hear that a lot of people think it's too light and that they have to use a LS-33 spring combined with a Sanwa spring for enough resistance for the stick to go back to neutral.
More springs make a stiffer stick, sure. It will still go back to neutral with just the stock spring. Plus if it really does make a difference 99% of players probably aren't good enough to take advantage of it anyways.
An extra spring is only like $0.50 so if you are ordering the cherry switches it wouldn't hurt to get the extra spring and try it out and see what YOU like better.
I can play either way. I prefer the stock switches but that should have no bearing on your decision. If you're fine with the stock switches just stick with them, some people don't like the "clicky" feel and this will help them out.
also if you dont want to buy another spring just take out the spring from your jlf and stretch it to 3cm and it will make your jlf a lot stiffer

just wandering how does this affects on games like street fighter compared to the standard JLF switches?
galwww 2 years ago
Doesn't effect the game what so ever. It's just a different feel.

do you find yourself preferring this over the stock
switches feel ?

Why would you do this? whats wrong with the sanwa switches?
boooosh2007 2 years ago
There is nothing wrong with them, some people just don't like the feel. The sanwa switches are much stiffer then the Cherries.

Didn't think it was that easy. For some reason I thought you had to remove the micro switches from the PCB that was already on there.
