Things to think twice about before saying outloud to someone with chronic illness

Every word you said is true! People do not understand. There are so many ignorant doctors who don't understand how you could possibly make an effort with your appearance yet still be ill! I have walked into my Gps room and had one in particular say to me 'You look well' and I'm thinking wtf has that got to do with anything? What have clothes and makeup got to do with being ill? Are we supposed to walk around with a bin liner on? Being superficial is what gives us that tiny bit of hope.
