Thanks John. I was kinda down on the Nakhla brand for a while because of the "small smoke" but packing it in an Alien like I would a Tangiers actually brings out the flavor more and gives GREAT clouds!! Thanks a lot man.

@aanntthhoonnyy i saw it from the owner himself...the owner says thats the best way to pack, but I say that thats waste of tobacco. I get a lot of smoke and flavor using much less tobacco than that.

@DuckyYu Using a medium tangiers phunnel, I go 2h30 3h easily. Without any flavor loss. from 2h30 to 3h the smoke goes a little bit down.

.....that wasn't really much smoke, to be honest. I expected more. From my first hookah, a ~21" Mya, I get more smoke than that, and about as much with Nakhla with just the stock bowl that came with it.. Has anyone tried Java tobacco? Much more smoke than Nakhla and I've never had a problem with it tasting bad or burning bad. Easy to set up and use..

does this method give the taste a burnt taste? Like a coal taste that tickles your throat and lets you know there's something wrong? If not then I'm gonna have to stock up on some nakhla and try that method out.

I also get huge smoke from nakhla (double apple) and huge flavor, I use safety pin holes and 3 coconara coals w/o burning (dont worry john i'll order some chronic coals lol).

With this tangiers style, how do you not burn the top layer of tobacco?? I pretty much just smoke nakhla and would like to try different methods.

I' ve already tried tons of different nakhlas but i never really get decent smoke out of this stuff...And there is also some kind of soapy taste to it..I also don't like the buzz you get from Nakhla.Wasn't it harsh as you smoked it tangiers style..? I mean this tobacco is pretty dry.

Anyways..I have to try this out!

Not sure why Nakhla would need to be associated with Tangiers in any way. That's like saying Filet Mignon hamburger style! LOL Good video just the same.

I was surprised too whn I sat with Eric of Tangiers and he says that Nakhla is really a good tobacco. He won't say that about too many mainstream brands. I associated it with Tangiers just by trying that particular method of smoking it and it worked great.
