Brilliant video, Please make some more upload and share with us. This is the kind of filming we need to see. A lot of the world is asleep or in a dream state.
Very good video of putting it all together. I suggest 1) slowing down the images so they can be read and absorbed and 2) turning off the background music when someone is talking to reduce noise and distraction. Keep it simple to get the message across.
Funny how so many people actually make that very assumption (that its just a bunch of jobless hippies) without even bothering to find out anything about what they're actually doing. Been down a few times and was very impressed by the passion, commitment and dedication of the people on camp. I reckon if more people made an effort to go along and find out a bit about whats going on, instead of judging and criticizing from afar then you'd realise that these people talk a lot of sense.
I think the point to remember is Occupy is a vehicle for people to express their views and concerns in a visible way, we can't possibly change anything without awareness of the root problems first.
it's stimulating discussion about the global economic structure amongst people from all walks of life, and those discussion inevitably lead to discussions about solutions. We, as the general people, do not currently have any kind of democratic mechanism to allow us to address global issues, so we're having to create our own platform, the solution is definitely not going to be handed to us from the government or controlling elite.
it's at least a starting point for putting the issue on the global table and will contribute to the generation of practical, intelligent demands for an economic structure that does not allow the obscene hoarding of wealth and resources, we are seeing just now. And you're right, it does give a sense of unity and connection between people, locally and globally, that is giving people confidence to speak out and stand up for something better.
FYI, we work full time and put the video together in the evenings...because we think it's important for everyone, working or not, to understand what is driving the global economy and it's current crisis, there is a lot more to it than meets the eye, and that's no conspiracy, it's fact. And by the way, this happened on a saturday when people generally have some free time :)
@thePIGscotland Yeah i didn't mean to make a sweeping generalization. I was in town last Saturday and seen the demonstrators then when i was there last night everyone was still there. That's been more than a week. Fair enough the campaign shows a sense of unity but that can be done in other ways that isn't just sitting in a park. I don't know what actually goes on at these protests but it seems like people are sitting about and preaching over megaphones
Totally! what is it now? 2.7 million in UK? and the real scenario is going to be far worse than the official stats - which as we know are just manipulated to suit whatever purpose. Feel especially for the 16-24 year olds, what the hell are they meant to do! What future have they got under this current regime? Also for students who've paid a fortune for their future only to discover they’ll be struggling to find work related to what they actually want to do. It’s a total farce!
Ha-ha Excellent, nice 1.

@JasonOfTreehorn They talk a lot of sense. I agree that things need to be changed. Don't think change will happen this way though

Don't you all have jobs to go to? Or studying to do. Instead of sitting about in St and. square.
Or are you all living of the state that you seem to have such a problem with.
