Leadership(especially Black leaders) in Chicago don't challenge corporations. The People are doin' it for themselves,as it should be. Stick together for the win my people.
Let it go! It appears that the issue is money in other worlds make me an offer that motivates me to sale. The alderman's working for the railroad and yes they will railroad the community. There will be no windfall. The only chip is for all the people to stick together and not sale out and as your guest said get a collective buy out.
As a side note, its a damn shame that in that section the best housing stock appear to be CHA managed property. Black folks have went down.
Organized people can always fight organized money. Black people, please make sure you get the money you are deserved if you sell your property. Peace.

I know there's eminent domain where the govt can't just take your land
unless its for the public good like a needed road or something....But what's the law for corporations who
want your land??? Guess we're about to find out.
