  • Mont an IR laser on that and wear night vision goggles bring a handheld police scanner and your set for robbing a bank.

  • Can i haz a tutorial on making me one?

  • how to get a gun without a licence :D

  • pretty cool, song name? :)

  • @Todesessenz "Alice" by Sisters of Mercy

  • @xolo222 yeeah.. thx :)

  • Bitch you want some? Yeah? Ok..lemme charge up my gun... >_>

  • when i would be a solider i woeuld get in trouble when my gun needs 1 minute to load ;D

  • Dear Santa...

  • @ztkRaptoR soo he can probly fire lets say 10 coils with single battery charge...

take extra betaries along with amo and enjoy... every gun needs a reload :)

  • This is really just an expensive BB gun. A gun that can penetrate only glass and a soda can is pretty much worthless in today's technology.

  • @Meinelpai

This is home made. Consider that the tools and materials available to a commercial weapons manufacturer are far superior to those available to the average citizen, and that a commercial weapons manufacturer would have far more money to spend and be able to produce weapons at a higher rate and lower cost. So, you might say that this gun is "an expensive BB gun" (although it doesn't shoot ball-bearings...), but current potential military-grade versions would be far more effective.

  • @Meinelpai

And of course, that potential is only getting higher as research continues.

  • @Meinelpai It's also homemade and not intended to be a practical weapon you fucking idiot.

  • *insert fission battery here*

  • what if u use a defibrillator?

  • I need a weapon.

  • "Honey, where do all our glasses keep going?"

  • SISTERS OF MERCY!

  • I love your bolt mechanism..0:44

  • are these used with actual rounds? or is the only power allotted from the actual coils? what if I used both types of propulsion (Gas expansion mixed with this coil design) and created a larger round that also housed a battery in it? the battery could power the rifle (Theoretically in my untrained mind) as it moves through the barrel, using the force of gas power, could the rifle also receive a minor charge going into the power supply thus somewhat recharging the weapon each time it is fired.

  • Make me one

  • the scary thing is looking at the size of the coil on the gun, you could probably build it with up to 4X the power it currently has

  • @DaGleese You mean a Coil-Howtizer? BOOYAH

  • @341GuiltySpark they should totally give the british one of those in company of heroes... then they might actually be possible to win with

  • 30 caliber thats as strong as a m1 garand!!!!!

  • Add more stages to it-looks like it could hold two more coils.

  • no recoil ftw

  • wonder wat it would be like with an electrically charged round...

  • how long does it take to charge?

    realy nice gun!

  • It looks new but primitive to even our basic rifles.. But props to whoever built it keep playing with it youll have something

  • "A coil gun? In ATMOSPHERE?"

Make the barrel longer and you can introduce it as the first high-power ,low-caliber sniper rifle...

  • @341GuiltySpark Oh no This Can't be happening.

  • @Halomaster4life1 Yes ,it can Rookie..

  • if anything superaccelerated bullets will be less effective, as they will go straight through targets, and in much more cases people will survive the shot...

i dont understand why everyone thinks this kind of technology is the future of weaponry?

  • @DaGleese You are absolutely right , because these weapons need insane amounts of energy to be efficient. But still props to the guy who made it.So if anyone thinks this is the future in weapons they are sorely mistaken.

  • @DaGleese I think making small guns is a hobby. Governments around the world have experimented in making these things on-board navy ships and for orbital launch platforms.

Imagine if you put a HE tip on that and it's 90mm and travelling at speeds of mach4+.

This would make an extremely accurate and powerful anti-aircraft gun.

  • @DaGleese Wrong. You are judging the weapon system by low power demonstration. The gauss weapon is definitely future weapon. 1 cause the round moves so fast it's most accurate. 2 it requires no explosives due to the high velocity it creates such kinetic force that a smaller round can cause more damage. 3 very reliable simple cause the only moving part is the bullet and no recoil. 4 rate of fire, it can fire million rounds in 1 sec. Only problem is that it's too advanced for the materials we have

  • @HOTSoupOG yeah i take back the idea of them being ineffective, i can see their effectiveness on large scale warfare i.e ships, aircraft etc

but they arent going to be used in the field by every soldier like they are starting to potray in modern games and stuff

i suppose the idea coupled with the techonology of efficiently renewable power to the weapon would be feasible for infantry too

  • @DaGleese This could be a good antilmaterial weapon when using a heavy projectile. It could be fitted for the army as a long range mortar by using a 40+ mm tank round, for the navy as an antiair or antiship weapon by using a rocket, or for the air force to shoot down enemy aircraft with unmatched accuracy by using a heavy 12.7mm bullet. If it could adjust the type of ammunition, this will make it the ideal all-purpose heavy weapon which will sent all fo your enemies running.

  • how long do you charge the weapon?

  • "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN" XD

  • @mahela1993

kid: i WANNA PLAY WITH DAD

Mom: no if you ti-o-uch it i will ground you!!!

    1 year later,,,

Kid i no more kid so I PLAY KN-I-OW,

    later outside , ...

    Kid: i shoot boh-irdie

    Dad no wait

    Dad, ... XP

  • Nerd Power

  • almost reminds me of the laser rifle on the Fallout series just add a tracer on each coil

  • Now he can shoot the guy thats hitting on his imaginary girlfriend.

  • Crap.... I shot my finger with my 200 joule coilgun....

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can you do that with a 150mm tank projectile?

  • @x1z3c7 i think the military has

  • Hey! let's add more compositors!

  • @Lasergun45 you just need to learn to spell that properly

  • Comment removed

  • @AntoBoesi Yeah, I posted that on my phone and I diidn't want to have to switch between apps for a comment.

    Sorry ;3

  • @Lasergun45 no worries :)

  • @Lasergun45 Capacitors, you mean.

  • IMA CHARGIN MAH... Coil Gun?! o.O

  • Oooooold.

  • Sisters of Mercy!!!!

  • Car stereo capacitor with digital voltage readout. It also would eliminate all those buttons, switches, and lights. Please pm me if this won't work.

  • Ah, no human testing?

  • 300 jouls O_o Holy shit, it can pierce security shoes !

  • @laskotop67 no but I don't think it shoots 300 joules. It's just the energy from the battery system itself, not the ammo when it's shot

  • @laskotop67 take 3 percent of 300 joules. It is 9 Joules. So the bullet energy is 9 Joules. 9 times powerful then a BB.

  • @TurkishGamer92 It's amazing O_o

  • @laskotop67 yes but in germany for example it would be forbidden because the maximum amount of energy for non explosive ammunitions is 7,5 Joules.

  • @TurkishGamer92 In France it's only 0.700 joules I believe... Thx you a lot for these informations, and sorry for my english :X

  • @laskotop67 youre welcome ;-)

  • when is the ballistic gelatin test?

  • how far does the gun shoot?

  • @Mrcabllegoo13 Most Gauss rifles are capable of many things that a sniper rifle can do. This one is a single staged coil firing the .30 caliber, which is very similar to the AK47 round, so it will have the same range as the AK47. But, this gun has a single stage coil, which increases muzzle velocity, so it has higher range. My estimate would be the range of the M16, but with higher damage. With a triple stage and a .50 caliber round, my estimate is the Soviet Dragonov SVD sniper rifle.

  • @OCE4500 it obviously does not have the power of a m16, first, it just bent a can and, it only has a single stage copper coil tube, if it would compare with a m16, it would need a few more stages, and many more capacitors

  • Don't mess with nerds

  • Don't this type of capacitor explode when gets reverted voltage?

Cause capacitor + coil = oscillatory contour

Did you include diod in circuit ?

  • so high tech only a coffee mug could hold it up

    0:24-0:33

  • Watch my video 'how to make the 400v charging circuit / module' from just 4 components, for charging photo flash capacitors in coilguns and other things. It's newer than my other one

  • In the future, soldiers won´t run out of ammo only. They´ll also run out of batteries.

  • @gre8 Perhaps the Bullets of the future will contain the Bullet and its Capacitor. So every Bullet has its own Capacitor. This could be a self-evident replacement for the explosive bullets.

  • @TurkishGamer92 That´s a great idea really. Capacitors already are bullet like anyway hahah

    Good one

  • @gre8 thank you ;) but capacitors need to get more efficiency, like batteries. theyre too big still

  • i bet this guys front and back yard are littered with dead birds and maimed cats etc.

  • i want one, i can't believe these are legal. some gun person has an automatic one somewhere. i mean all you have to do is have a recoil system that is paced with a fast charging coil weapon system and a spring clip. basic.

  • @FOXNEWS4U I agree. If the action is gas blowback like the M16/AK47, the US Armed Forces may replace M4s/M16s with em-15s. If it has a triple stage system, uses the recoil/blowback/gas blowback action, and uses the .50 caliber round, it can be used as both the ultimate sniper rifle and the ultimate machinegun with just a flip of the firing mode lever.

  • @FOXNEWS4U not so sure needing a recoil system as saying it is more of accelerating it's projectile, than using an explosive force.

  • HOLY SHIT talk about home defense leaned against a coffe table.

  • future solder: fire coil guns

    enemy: fire EMP

future solder: crap :( still love the idea :)

  • @radimaida Hey you brought me some thinking. Yes this Coil Guns could be the weaqpons of the future but they get destroyed easyl by EMP's. Funny somehow, how things get better and better but even more brittle.

  • watch ' how to make a 400v charging circuit ' to learn how to make a circuit from scratch capable of charging photo flash capacitors, you need little electronics knowledge and you only need four components.

  • Have you tried rigging one of these with UltraCapacitors? The internal resistance for one is only 0.0007 ohms. So these things are made to give you around 800-2600 Farads (varying in sizes), and I mean Farads. Less voltage drop and more Amp Hours for your charging. I'm not sure what sizes they make but their maximum voltage is around 2.3v-2.5v for one. They're definitely something you should check up on for your next coil gun project.

  • doesn't the bullet need to be moving for the magnetic force to apply? F = qvBsin(a)

  • @Richy15251 no, the formula you have there is for the lorentz force. but this gun is working with pure magnetic force, not lorentz. with high enough electric energy, that goes through the coil you create an enormous magnetic force for 0,01 seconds

  • Man u could probably sell ur design if u make it moe effecient

  • I wonder how accurate this is at a considerable range?

  • is the barrel of the gun plastic?

  • @alexXaralambous yes, metals create eddy currents that decrease efficiency, dont worry, i had a hard time understanding that too

  • how much did it cost to make this?

  • Holy Shit!

  • bad ass dude... so fucking cool

  • the trick is to pack a few of the circuit into the gun, then while you fire one, there are a few charged, and the one you just fired is charging.

  • Someone needs to make a full auto coilgun. :)

  • 非常好 手工也不错

  • is this a one shot weapon? if it is then hope you can reload REAL fast if there is more than one opponent...

  • Ummmm, i would buy this.

    Is 900$ good?

  • I've been considering making one of these babies for a while...

  • you should shoot clay with it, it will tell you how powerful it is and what it will do onces it hit's human flesh; all you need to to do is multiply the penetration by 4 (Clay is 4 times as dense as human flesh)

  • @airsoftguy85rocks No you must shooy with uranium shells. Uranium penetrate Tanks!!!! Clay is for sissy noobs

  • you would be better off hitting them with it

  • i just had an idea......why not use a cordless drill battery to charge it?

it would fit on the gun

  • did you use a soldering iron tip for the projectile?

  • now make the wonderwaffe

  • First off, well done on building the rifle.

Secondly, will you share technical details?

Thirdly, have you measured the muzzle velocity, etc?

Lastly, what are you using for your coils/power source etc?

    Thanks.

  • plz make a machine gun verssion :3 i wana buy

  • im interested in ur project <.< and i wana buy ur wepon :P great system u were smart u used a eletric system 2 boost more or make a magnetic field 2 boost the shooting power <.<

  • I once made a dart gun from an old paint gun, tubings and a toy car. But this is cool too.

  • @nioor you forgot the scorpion poison why is there so many fallout 3 references on this vid awsome game though

  • I bet it would hurt a lot if you shoot someone in the ass with it!

  • im gonna make one

  • cool video and coil gun, what did you use for a barrel, i was told to use aluminium would that work or is plastic better.

  • how much would you sell one for

  • so... any one else notice the M16/M4/HK416 hand grip. by the way as tech gets better, you could probably make it normal pistol sized with a battery in the magazine

  • ok i found the Gauss rifle where is the rail-gun?

  • i know what i want for christmas

  • can you possibly email the schematics to thy @ stuwaso@aol.com

  • Wow... Sure am glad I can hear you over the crappy music... oh wait, I can't. Turn off the MUSIC! You're not ozzy. This isn't a music video.

  • Hey thief plz wait right there..... my gun's gotta charge

  • @lc2dae hokay. how long will it take? can you switch some music on plz?

  • @lc2dae yeah but it will never jam, no moving parts

  • @lc2dae once the caps are charged they will stay that way till discharged/fired

  • @lc2dae lolololololollolol

  • Science: 100

    Repair: 100

    Energy weapons: 1337

  • @nikitospav

    Strength: 100

    Action Points: 8

  • @nikitospav I believe your comment is influenced by Fallout series. The Fallout 2 gauss rifle and pistol were the strongest weapons of the "small guns" category and the standard weapon of NCR police force . Bethesda made the rifle an energy weapon in operation:anchorage.

  • @nikitospav

    awesome comment .

  • @nikitospav Energy Weapons FTW.

  • @nikitospav best games ever

  • @nikitospav but the music is 0

  • nice. Ps. is coffee mug a standard equipment? =)

  • For all you halo fans this gun isn't a MAC gun it's more like the m99 stanchon from

    Halo:contact harvest

  • Magnet Propelled Generator creates free electricity. I will email you a link to the blueprint of this Generator just email me and put "Send Magnet Generator Blueprint" into the subject line. email: protrucker2008@yahoo.com

  • honest question over here!! will i get more speed out of the projectil if it contains more iron, or if it is made of pure iron? and how about steel? does it goes faster or slower?

  • Cool ^^

  • omg it a frikin mini mac cannon from halo... except withpout the destructionenuss

  • I was building similar things at school, rather more years back than I care to remember. It's all in the timing. Too big a cap or "bullet" and it doesnt work as well, same if one or other is too small. It takes a lot of time to "tune" them to work well.

  • what a f****** nerd gun^^

  • that is dangerous!

  • @superstudmuffun all guns are dangerous..

  • @p1370r the beauty of all of that though, is that if ur good with electronics, an understand simple concepts, stuff like this can be built easy, with some tweeking an know how u can prolly ramp up the power

  • Why? Whats wrong with a firing pin?

  • how does it fire the bullet , ie how odes it work ?

  • @mizziy3 massive magnetism created by using an electric current.

  • @mizziy3 im not completely sure but i think its a magnetic coil in the barrel then electronically it sends a pulse through the coil and the metal bullet tries to attract to the coil then shoots out of the barrel. im not sure if this is correct but its my guess :)

  • @BullockDesignConcept right on, I couldnt has explaned it better myself

  • This is something Stewie Griffin would create.

  • its funny how people say this can't kill squirrel, probably Sarcasm and the fact they just doesn't have the ability to make this,i mean this is f*cking genius piece of work, you can see its power when he hit the glass and it break on impact, its like a wind.

  • @luftwaffe789456123 rofl it's not that hard to break glass. I'd say this thing is about as powerful as a red rider bb gun. Look when someone builds one that can kill a deer in one clean shot, than I'll take it seriously.

  • Thats a gauss gun ?

  • @Lapatate33 Nope, it's a coil gun :)

  • why don't you geeks buy a real gun, and get laid while your at it.

  • @CarlChipSanders 1) You are a troll. 2) You don't have the brains to make anything like this, so I strongly suggest you STFU.

  • @uncooldudethe1 these "guns" are wimpy, I wouldn't waste my time building one even if I could. These things probably couldn't even kill a squirrel.

  • @uncooldudethe1

Nope. He cant be a troll.

Trolls hawe brain capacity like me. [See what i did there] Moron?

  • @puppett11 No.

  • @puppett11

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOURE AN IDIOT!!

  • I love weird, college project looking guns that work

they might be the future weapons of my whole Generation

  • Please never add this music again. It's so distracting.

  • i can see a ultra silent sniper rifle in the future.

  • whats the Muzzle velocity and has it got rifling groves?

  • Dude! Its virtually silent! The millitary will be all over this! Covert-ops made easy provided it has the same power of a regular gun.

  • @SuperStratosfear Actually, right now the coilgun system is still very experimental. It requires a lot of power and CAN theoretically generate a higher muzzle velocity than a normal chemical combustion round but it would need extreme amounts of concentrated energy, which technology we do not currently have, nor would it be feasible at this point.

  • @SuperStratosfear

if they go all over this then we are all fucked, becuase this is fucking stupid.

  • @SuperStratosfear

It may seem awaesome, but if it was so great, the military would have probably already started using this. There's probably some big drawback that makes normal firearms superior.

  • @GremlinsAndGnomes my guess is it might be more expensive or something. but that is the only drawback i can see.

  • @BullockDesignConcept It's also incredibly heavy in terms of the power it produces, and has a long charging time.

  • @pyroclasm32 ohhhh yeahh i could see it being heavy as shit. but as for the charging thing if you just have a solar panel type thing on the top with maybe an led light it shouldnt be that long to charge (in theory). but yeah i see what your saying.

  • @BullockDesignConcept Oh. MY brother told me that coilguns were still in the experimental stage, and in the video, it looked like the gun had to be charged.
