Well if you are new to hobby and dont have anything then yes maybe so. But most people already in the hobby have these things already from another plane. They just swap from one to another or use spare equipment laying around.
Also use one radio for everything so that is another thing they would not have to buy
I know, but i'm just a kid! I can't afford that much, and besides i live in norway in a small town. First of all these things cost 2 times more than in the Us and they are like 5 times harder to find! So uh ywh, RTF is best for me.
But I don't have 2000 kr! Cause it costs even more if I want good quality so I don't buy stuff over and over! I'm a kid. I have to rob a store to get the money LOL!

they run for $109.90 from hobby-lobby. but that is hydro only. still have to buy radio gear motor speed controller and battery. and charger
