I agree with the post up top. What a joke this is. This guy was truly an inspiration. 104 and still of perfectly sound mind and body...when most people have trouble living till they're 80! Ha! These are the people to learn things from. Just think of all the stories and wisdom this has got to share...yet he's treated like a sideshow oddity. Utter bullshit.
when such a rare chance of interviewing a living legend, comes up, in my opinion, the reporter should GRASP the oportunity and stay the longest time he can.
if a man of 103 wants to talk and tell us more.than we should stay sit , listen and learn! finnishing the interiew so fast was,in my opinion,a disrespect and a lack of sensitivity.
it could have last much longer and all of us would gain so much more of it..
@Harrygton Joe never smoked, drank or ate meat. Im not sure about earlier in life, but he told me that he ate nothing but whole grains and seeds. A true gentleman and a great man he was.
JOE IS A LEGEND!!!

He was a lifelong vegetarian, as was his mother--which at the time was unusual.
He never drank, smoked, or indulged in sweets. Rain or shine he still walked 5 miles every morning.
Just an amazing earthling <3

That's it? That's the only question that comes to your "mind"? Why are you viewing this then if you don't care for the man?

read in New York Times article that he didn't eat meat. So apparently he was a vegetarian?
