1st icom ic-rx7 video showing poor reception on wfm in the fm radio band

Some points to consider - I've owned this receiver for several years and I'm quite happy with it. 1st off he's using the RX7 near a laptop computer= noise source!!! He give no reference to the other stations KW output.. And just what sort of antenna is he using? Perhaps it is no wonder that other stations are not coming in. This radio has wonderful functions such as gain control and attenuation, regardless a strong station will drown out a weaker station regardless of the receiver.

These little radios are for communications/PS, receiving broadcast bands are an added plus and not a priority. The IC-91A is the same way. You have the ability to check the FM for traffic/weather, but your car radio or even a clock radio does a better job.

This is what happens when someone who has little conception of radio theory attempts to use a well made handheld receiver. I've owned this radio for almost a year now and I'm very happy with it.

Did you check the WFM antenna option? Make sure it's set to the External antenna and not the earphone antenna.
