Shows how an early error can lead to a quick loss - good commentary. It's the sort of thing Kasparov or Karpov (inter alia) would also punish. Sometimes the young masters or GMs are lazy on chess opening theory... of course also if one doesn't know it pays to study the position very carefully -the Be7 move looks relatively impulsive...

Beyond the massive weakness on d5, 11. ... e5 would fail to 12. Bxe5, since the pawn is pinned.
