  • I have a pekingese as well.. she's female, her name is MaKensie and she does the exact thing,,,,,,

  • when I was younger, mine did that and i would lay right next to him and copy him. Then he would do that more. lol

  • maybe he has fleas ??

  • I love this so much. xD I knew a bichon frise that did that too!

  • I sincerly believe that he is trying to scratch himself... Lots of pekes are alergic to carpets..

  • mine does that2

  • @Ghostmonsters mines does that too. i let him inside one day and he started thinking that. i think he was glad to be inside.

  • This is so funny! My little parti colored peke, Brittney does the same thing especially if she is sleepy or bored! I just thought it was a funny quirk, but obviously it must be a peke quirk! Marco is a cutie! Thank you for sharing this, it is really hilarious!!

  • my peke does this too!!! Darla get so crazy rolling around on the bed when she wakes up every morning. we call it the "freak out"

    pekes are the best <3

  • EVERYONE"S DOES THAT!

  • У меня любит на диване так вошкаться, после того, как вкусно покушает))))

  • My peke does this after he eats a meal. I showed my friend who's a vet and she said that they're just being happy... playing around or something.

  • i think its because the dog has worms... maybe you should get it checked out.

  • @thevinyljunkie nope not b/c of worms...mine does it too.

  • My peke does this all the time too haha ,especially when he gets excited =P

  • my pek does the same thing. (generally when I'm trying to sleep)

  • Mine does this too. She'll backstroke all over the bed, hitting the laptop and talking to herself like this. Cracks me up. They are crazy. Best dogs ever, though!

  • Our pekingese does this also lol

  • dude i have the same dog... and it does the same thing... whyy?

  • they do this because it is a way to redouce stress and it is away to get there engergy out

  • ha ha both of my pekingese do that all day every day it is so funny the boy can wigel all the way acrost the floor

  • Love Pekingese! Mind does that in the grass after she's gone potty

  • hes got fleas! mine did the same thing!

  • pekingese are the best

  • My critter does this after he eats.

  • D'you know why he/she is doing that?

Under the eye (around the upper nose) is too much hair. It's very irritating for them and I recommend that you go to a vet to cut the hair off, SO DON'T DO IT BY YOURSELF!!!! you could cut in the eye!!

  • Oh ya btw, this too much hair growth occurs mostly by dogs with flat faces....

  • jejejeje!!, Di vi no! hermoso!

  • my peke does the same thing as well usually with a bone in his mouth..

  • My Golden Retriever does this ALL the time, he loves it lol. I think he thinks of it as being petted lol :P

  • Very cute. Love the hairdo, I get mine cut down when it gets warm too. Great dog.

  • HA mine does the same, usually with a sock in his mouth tho!

  • this happens when:

    - your peki is itchy

    - its wet and trying 2 dry itself

    - its on soft fabric and fells comfortable

    - its having fun

  • My girl peke Sissy does this a lot. Especially on the couch.

  • They're just living life to its fullest :)

  • Yes, my Pekingese does the same thing, too. He does it especially after a shower. I think it's just a behavioral characteristic. I think most people with a Pekingese experiences this (unless there's really something wrong). Cute doggy~!!!

  • no bc i had 2 make the same noises and same exact movements

  • I think it is somewhere itchy on it's back...

  • HI, my boy peke Caleb does that all the time especially after his meals. I just think he is very happy. Caleb has no skin or flea rpoblems and never has so I think it is just a happy peke thing. Love Marco, he looks a lot like my boy. If you enter Caleb Pekingese into the seach bar you will see him with his nylabone, he loves his nylabone. kisses to your Marco

  • My pekingese does the same thing.(:

  • pekingese have a tail ?

  • if you are serious,Yes they do have a tail.

  • they have nine-tails. pekingese are also called the "nine-tailed foxes". lol

  • he needs some good massage!!

  • Are you feeding People food? The reason I ask is because the tongue is out of the mouth, and people food and soft food can cause the teeth to drop out.

I can see there might be a few problems here, but I'm not a vet. I've had pekes since I was about 12 (I'm 42 now), and LOVE them dearly!

I do think it may be fleas...if you get rid of the fleas after a bath, the dog may experience "spots" on it's flesh that are opened up, causing it to itch...then they roll over on their back to scratch.

  • Mine does that after a bath, but not after feeding. Have you checked this one for fleas? ESPECAILLY after a bath. Shouldn't be a problem. I had one that went ballistic after her bath, but never like this after eating. It IS the best time to play, though! FLEAS!!

  • Whoa, mine does this too. It's almost instantaneously after he eats. I used to call it his "oooooh I'm full" dance.

  • my peke also does this. she's so happy. when your peke is in this mood, it's the best time to play with them. they are too cute!!!

  • I also have Pekignese-two-and they do the same-amazing! but I know that every Pek do like that:) kiss

  • my pekingese shorty does that when he wants you to play with him its so cute

  • I have a Peke who does the same sort of crazy crazy stuff. It's the cutest thing in the whole wide world!

  • my dog does that everytime he eats. i love him

  • mine does the same thing it means they want to play

  • Haha yes mine does the same thing.. haha thought it was just him lol

  • nah, there's nothing wrong with him. My peke Louie does this every time he finishes eating or drinking water, I believe he's showing that he's satisfied.

    Great dogs!!!

    Great dogs!!!

  • Our Peke Yoshi does this all the time too! Usually every morning when he gets up. Sometimes when he's sleeping he'll lay on his back and stick one of his back legs staright up into the air.

  • We used to have a Pekingese named Lucky and he used to do this same thing for hours... weird dogs.

  • There is nothing unusual about this behavior that these dogs do, they are just playful and happy. My peke does the same every time he is satisfy about something or just happy.

  • That's awsome. Put some videos up sometime of your dobie!!

  • what does PMED mean? I don't think I remember.
