how much do you think its putting down. i have a 93 chevy with a wore out 350 with 240,000 miles hard miles. i bought a gm goodwrench 350 4 bolt main. and im wanting to build a good little street racing motor. something like yours.
@jaredbtexas I bought a GM 350 "made in Mexico" crate motor with 4 bolt mains and cast, dish pistons. I removed the 76cc smogger heads and replaced them with vortec heads "062" casting. I had them milled .030 and used a .015 felpro shim gasket. I run an Isky 270 mega cam, holley 750 vacuum sec carb and an RPM manifold and full length 15/8 headers w/dual 21/2 exhaust and dynomax mufflers. This baby pulls like a freight train and sounds great. I use a 2000 stall converter, but stock is ok, too.
No, the '87 and newer blocks are roller cam blocks from the factory and to get them to work with a hydraulic cams takes some extra money with retrofit kits.
This block is a late 60's early 70's, high nickle content block.
@jaycoryken go to jegs, there easy to find for the vortech heads, and its totally worth it, i got a new 305 in my 89 and i put one on, real easy cause its the same basic lay out of the older motors but the inside bolts on either side of the manifold are angled diffrent, you can even take an olderstyle maniflod notch it and bolt it down, i did it a couple times myself but i wouldnt recomend it cause if your going to do something do it right
I have not had any problems getting up on the stall and tromping on it off the line there is no hesitatation.
Lunati recommends a 2200-6400.
The cam is a best for such a large cam it has great street manors. I noticed there are a lot of people hesitant to go with it but in my experiance it is a good cam to tune around and just drive in the city with.
MY dad got it for me for christmas not what i wanted but couldnt argue ya know.
Mine is decent through the rpm curve but kinda drops off at 5700 5800 but thats when the motor sounds the best lol. Im going for the roller motor sound without the roller cam and still be streetable
sounds very nice. Im thinkng about switching from my summit cam to the lunati voodoo ive watched videos on here and every car that has it sounds great. Check out my videos and listen to mine ive got the dynomax bullets but also might change that to the dynomax x-flo heard nothing but great from those ;)

My buddy converted an early 90 to a carb and he did not have any issues doing it at all, it was surprising how well it went.

How does your 2500 stall hold out on the 60104? Looking to go to this cam and I run a 2200-2800 stall.

What Summit cam is that in that video. It does sound pretty mild.
I have been VERY happy with this Lunati cam and it sounds like a lot of others that have used them like them too.
It has a very constant power curve, pulls a bunch of vacuum at idle (around 10-11), and it has that lope that people like.

what kind of exhaust?
mxkx48 2 years ago
Headmen full length headers with 3" pipes into two Summit Racing mufflers and then dumped about where the box of the truck begins.
Summit part #SUM-633253
I was pretty amazed for $37 the mufflers are constructed well and I think they sound great.
