  • Not bad my friend!

  • me too

  • wow... the new spitfire is light- years ahead of this one

  • nice flight

  • i jumped right to the corsair from playing the simulator in the store. These planes are great to fly and very forgiving. ive crashed directly into trees at full speed

  • Least you did the sim first that gave you the basic feel of flying rc planes, my only advice for you is try flying in a more open space ie with no trees or houses near by just incase u lose orientation, an don't try flying in high winds anything over 12mph with a foamy... Other than that good first flight...

  • fantastic..

  • I did an R/C simulator for about 6 months before the maiden. I've seen people (first timers) with a similar plane fly for 15 seconds and then nose dive. I did RC cars as a kid all the time. The plane is a completely different world.

  • You consider yourself a beginner? I bought one on a whim 2 days ago and haven't had a go yet. Am I gonnna wrap it up first time out?

  • @HappyChonger

I hope your flight went well.

  • Skip to 2:17 To see it fly!!!

  • Great flight with the spitfire for your first flight, and you stalled with getting a way with it; great job

  • just throw the plane already

  • Good job.

  • NIce!

  • he stalled for 2:16

  • I agree, great first flight and with a Warbird as well good job.

  • great maiden flight! i could feel the nerve vibe at the start....

  • WOW!! THAT WAS BRILLIANT FOR A FIRST FLIGHT.AND WITH A SPIT TOO.YOU MUST BE A NATURAL.WELL DONE.KEEP POSTING.I'L FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS.

  • Great film but spolit by he excessive use of the word ' Awsome' can anyone count the ammount of times 'Awsome' was quoted ?

And next time ,omit the girlie factor , its a man, boy hobby!!

  • Thats why u dont take chicks with you the just kill the testosterone with there girly talk LOL

  • I did the same! After the sim I went for a foam pattern plane which I tried to crash 5 times out of 4 flights and nearly succeeded! :) It was not about mistakes in the air but being stupid on the ground. Poorly choosen location, loose propsaver screw (lost prop during take off) and my biggest mistake: using a TX + RX + cristal pair + 4x 9g servo combo that I bought for £30 brand new! I uploaded a video of the last flight of that radio system. Interesting. :)

  • Superb! I crashed everything.

  • Its easier to hand launch then my f-18 lol

  • respect man ! to say you have never flown r/c before that was a good job cant beleive you would go for the most difficult plane to fly for your first plane......

good throttle managment will give you a longer battery life ie. not balls out all the time, its kinder on your surfaces too when it dives ease off the throttle slightly to avoid flutter (too fast) .

guess thats the beauty of a flight sim. doesnt teach you everything but helps a whole lot.

  • LOL, i get like that every flight as i dont like picking up match sticks when they crash....not that iv every crashed one, my last plane took of and kept going, i last saw it going in to low cloud with a 25 min tank of fuel,

. i hand launched it and hit the off switch.lol

    good vid cheers

  • it looked like you went full throttle the whole flight the battery will really run out if you do that

  • Nice video congrats on your maiden flight! I would be just as nervous. Ive been thinking of getting into rc planes myself, just would hate to crash it naturally . Great job!

  • I'd be tempted to add some landing gear onto that plane, because belly landings seem to me a bit 'rough'.

well, it might scratch the paint or something, break the prop..

I dunno, it would bo able to take off on it's own?

  • @pomeroy600287

I have that same plane and its made for belly landing. It is durable enough but you are right,,,, it should come with optional rudder control and landing gear

  • @Doamino41

I built some landing gear out of aluminium tubing, but the glue that held it together flaked off and broke before I got to use it though, but if it had held together, it was a really good system (non retractable, but the gear slotted into the screw-holes in the base of the wing, and used the rear one for bracing.

unfortunately it broke whilst taxi-testing. =(

  • great maiden flight...the spitty is a wonderfull plane to fly...well done

  • Great maiden flight man! I know you had to swallow your nerevs and make it happen! I'm pretty new myself and the sim time for me has been priceless! Finally got the hang of my parkzone p-51 UM and have moved on to a new EDF F-86 sabre that is on its way! Not the beast that is teh PKZ Spitfire or P-51 but a great plane nonetheless! Great video!

  • Nice flight for a maiden, what plane did you have before the spit??

  • Dude, your friend needs you to bring it in to take a rest because he's so charged up it's hard for him to give you advice and generally back seat drive........

    Just so you know....

  • Women are full of advice......

  • he hemmed..he hawed...he looked up to the gods of flight for divine guidance..he flicked the throttle..he reflected..he fired it up..and off he went!...forget 1st time..that was good period.

watching these vids makes me want to drag that mustang out.

  • If its only gos ailerons how do it turn well without rolling?

  • yeah...how do you

  • Because the wings are providing up thrust,

when you bank right or left the plane will turn by itself.

Although, you mignt need to use up elevator to keep the nose up during the turn.

Real planes use the rudder only for small corrections like keeping a good heading fighting winds or corrections during a turn

  • So ive got a parkzone sukhoi, I can fly it really well. Would I be able to handle a parkzone spitfire?

  • Hey good flight. I had the corsair for my first plane this summer and managed to not crash it after a couple weeks on phoenix sim also. Come along ways since then though. I am hoping santa brings me this plane for christmas and I might upgrade the motor with my brushless corsair motor as i'm running the power 25 in it now. keep up the good work.

  • nice to see you got some great support there lol.

I think you did very well on that flight, landings are the hardest part but you get used to that too. Keep flying and don't forget : just have fun !

  • lol @ 2:35 "It goes so fast!!!" ;)

  • can this plane be for beginners??

  • Nice flight, when i first flew mine, i crashed. i didn't realize i had to cycle my batteries (charge up and rundown) the plane flew for only 2 seconds before that, but then after i cycled them a few times i flew and was as nervous as you. For a warning be careful on barrel rolls the plane drops suddenly and you need to give it down elevator when you are upside down.

  • First time is always a knee knocker.

  • whats the best this one, the mustang or the focke wulf?

  • The spitfire, as usual

  • spitfire

  • focke wulf worst

  • Super job for your first time...slow it down a little more though...the flight looked good, but you need to work on that landing a bit...Great Job!

  • Nice flight, well done for your first!

  • this plane has a rudder right?

i was looking at the specs and everything was proportional except the rudder

    it just said no

  • This is not my video but it is a three channel plane not a four channel, so no rudder that might be why it said no to the rudder do you think :-) but still a great plane but not for a beginner.

  • Its a three channel plane. elevator, throttle, and ailerons

  • nope only ruder elavator trottle no ailrons.

  • u replied to the wrong person lol

  • who cares

  • "ruder"?

    "elavator"?

    "trottle"?

    "ailrons"?

    - Someone show this loser how to use 'spell check' or buy him a dictionary, please!

  • it has no rudder...it only has ailerons, throttle, and elevator

    ---Sources---

     I have one

  • 2 minutes of hesitation takes so long lol - btw awesome flying

  • I agree as below try to use about half throttle and slow it all down for yourself. But all looks good and nice launch most people throw it up a 45'. Just ordered mine

  • Ailerons, Elavator and Throttle.

  • i did the sam ehting that your pt 40 did :P

  • i did the same thing but winds is your problem and mine my fw 190

crashes on me 20 seconds in i was down wind and the wind toke her down top speed into the ground but now im rebuilding it thankfully

  • Great flight. I too was hesitating and on my first flight. Even after the launch I was shaking... Now I can keep calm while flying. Great video.

  • You sound like ur flying on full throttle for a lot of the time flying, cut it down to half for a smoother flight but remember to give it more area for turns and climbing.

  • Well...he admired it long enough -- throw it chickenshit!! Kinda' an anticlimax wasn't it?

  • justin, I loved the first 2 minutes watching you standing there scared shitless!! A maiden flight always does that to you. I did exactly the same thing when I maidened my PZ Spit and now have about 50 flights on it. A great plane and some pretty good flying from you on your maiden!! Keep up the great work and never stop flying!!

  • Throw it!!!!

  • was that ur first rc plane experiance? good flying if it was.

  • Nice job.

  • jee that guy at the start sounded a little...well.....you know

  • HOT chick in the white shirt! :D but nice flying. i got one to. i just picked up yhe new hobby zone super cub

  • lol. I just got mine, had two flights and then went into an inverted dive and nosed it into the floor :-( Now we're waiting on a new cowling, spinner, propeller and firewall through the mail!

  • I did the same thing the first time I flew a jet. my servos were underpowered and created false exponential. For the first quarter of ailerons there was nothing, then too much!

  • good job man i just picked one up its been a month and i still havn't had the balls to fly it lol although it looks great hanging from the ceiling

  • Excellent Job Mate, for all your nervousness that was fantastic. bet it feel good eh !

  • nice flyin

  • I love how he told you to just throw it, turn it and land when you did a whole flight. Nice job

  • well done Justin - I was holding my breath on the landing...lol
