I didnt think the Eastwood guitar would sound that great but it does have a nice sound mix between a Gretch w/TV Jones pickups and a good old fashioned twangy Telecaster. No matter what he plays he always dials in the perfect tone!
A part of the solo (0:06 - 0:14) is based on the retrain from the Beatles song "I will" from the White Album as Elliot has mentioned in interviews about his influences.
thanks for sharing this ...someone ought to make a montage of all elliot's solos from footage throughout the years ..he plays some colorful guitars and even more colorful licks ..great stuff

I was a kid when this song came out... it wasn't until years later I realised that this solo was straight up rockabilly.
Probably the most beautiful rockabilly guitar solo ever played outside of a traditional rockabilly song/context.

Elliot's got great taste in guitars. That's an Eastwood Tuxedo -- a clone of an old Kay Barney Kessel.

Nice close-up of the solo - very helpful!
