  • Is that Pat? That's Pat!!

  • He's a houndstooth hillbilly!

  • I didnt think the Eastwood guitar would sound that great but it does have a nice sound mix between a Gretch w/TV Jones pickups and a good old fashioned twangy Telecaster. No matter what he plays he always dials in the perfect tone!

  • massively underrated.

  • wow elton john can jam!

  • It's Pat

  • What a nice clean tone, awesome.

  • one of my favorite solos of all time

  • ladies and gentleman........Austin Powers???

  • Do a random act of kindness for someone today.

  • Elliott Easton rocks! then again so does leftys!

  • Sounds more like a fatal car wreck

  • THE STAR WARS KID ¡¡¡¡¡

  • This guy looks like Big Rhonda from That 70's Show

  • oldest weezer lol

  • throat that is....and now even more so after watching it again!

  • I'd like to punch that guy whistling in the throught.

  • In the throat would shut him up too

  • nice shirt.....good thing he can play

  • haha

  • oh man. that was awesome... one of my favourite solos of all time! .. and Mike.. I'm bidding on those pickups!

  • Since when has Elton John been playing Guitar for the Cars ??

  • Since about 1976

  • pretty dam cool

  • A part of the solo (0:06 - 0:14) is based on the retrain from the Beatles song "I will" from the White Album as Elliot has mentioned in interviews about his influences.

  • man elliott, you really are the shit!

  • @PooPoo2U always was!!

  • I was a kid when this song came out... it wasn't until years later I realised that this solo was straight up rockabilly.

Probably the most beautiful rockabilly guitar solo ever played outside of a traditional rockabilly song/context.

  • Elliot's got great taste in guitars. That's an Eastwood Tuxedo -- a clone of an old Kay Barney Kessel.

  • Nice close-up of the solo - very helpful!

  • A great moment in guitar history.

  • thanks for sharing this ...someone ought to make a montage of all elliot's solos from footage throughout the years ..he plays some colorful guitars and even more colorful licks ..great stuff
