Accidents happen, doesn`t matter how careful you are, hence insurance? Most of us gave and sacrificed a lot to work, and were injured due to employers negligence. Many families have been destroyed, people killed and a lot of real heart acke, over the deliberate deniel of claims due to their bonnuses. If your a troll, you picked a horrible spot to do this.

Workers Compensation is ORGANIZED CRIME; INSURANCE RACKETEERING; Defenseless Injured and disabled workers are being crippled and discarded like they are GARBAGE; I also have lived through ALBERTA WCB TORTURE, I was DENIED physicians requests, specialists requests and was STARVED BACK TO WORK UNDIAGNOSED, WITHOUT TREATMENT for my work injury. WCB is FRAUDULENTLY administering claims so now you know why this happened;

The WCB is not a "for profit" company at all. It was built to put money into the pockets of the injured workers' immediately so that they did not have to sue the employer which would take years, with no guarantee that they would or could win.  It is no fault insurance which means insurance pays the injured without blame to the employer or worker. In 99% of the cases of accidents at work the only person present is the person who got hurt - so whose fault do you really think it is?

It's not the workers who should suffer like this. WCB is a private, for profit company. Alberta made lesgislation that forces an employee to agree to WCB handling there case if injury occurs, while the employer pays WCB much like an insurance fund.

Something built for the people, would not be private and for profit.

It is a shame that employees are forced to go through such a system, for it was simply built to protect industry, and not made to protect the employee.

Not so crazy. There are 700 people that were evacuated and I happened to be on the 8th floor in the middle of it all. Absolutely terrifying when someone take your teammates by gunpoint and the only way you get away is to just make a run for it!!!!
