I just started learning how to play the guitar and this is one of my favourite songs. I guess I could try it in a year or so :-D You´re really good at what you do - greetings from germany :)

to recreate the picking bit over "the birds" just pick strings 1, 2 and 3 in that order after the strum.. letting the notes ring out... should do the trick.
Best of luck with guitar. The only advice that anyone ever gave me that did me any real good was "never put it down" xx

Which parts are you having trouble with? remember that 'the birds' section is actually two guitars on the recording. There is live video of my playing this song which might help further (as it's with one guitar'
Never be afraid to put your own spin on things though, that's what makes guitar so interesting for me.
