@thisdesertlife04 It's really not heterosexist. He wrote it for a wedding, and I have to assume, as a result of the lyrics, the couple was a heterosexual couple. I get what you're saying and why you're saying it, but considering the reason it was written and the fact that it wasn't necessarily written with the intention of being released to anyone but the wedding couple goes to show it isn't heterosexist at all. :)
