When I was in tech school for the air force back in 1997 I used to listen to this CD when I was laying in bed and the lights off every night and think....now that I hear it now all I can do is get chills thinking back to that time in my life.
I met this girl and would call her up at 2am on wed night,drunk and she would come and dance with me in my kitchen to this song.her dad was retired army and he didnt like me to much until I married his daughter.He's dead now and me and my wife still dance to this song every now then.12 years later:D
I have a quote on my kitchen wall that says: “Hey little girl…..keep dancing”. It has deep rooted meaning for me…. for everything I’ve been through and overcome-I can still keep dancing. Cancer at the age of 33, countless surgeries, etc. One of my favorite songs...
I will always identify this song with a great time in my life. Even though the lyrics and the melody are quite melancholy, this song reminds me of good times, better times.
Think that deadlee's sentiments are awesome. I've sure loved some really great women, and, for that short time I spent with them, it was worth all the pain and sorrow of losing them...This music brings out the best in those feelings.
