  • Could you please put part 3 up?

  • Haha, I remember my mum recording this onto a blank video for us as children and we watched it over and over again. And my dad used to always say ''Oh look! It's Sting!'' of course, I didn't know who Sting was for an awfully long time. Coincidental that I'm a Police fan now!

  • The words are largely immaterial, the purpose of the composition is to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra. There is no agreement over whether the tale was wholly original or derived from earlier folk tales - the latter seems more likely, just as modern western fairy tales are derived from patchworks of darker, earlier tales.

  • The subtitles were obviously written by someone who didn't understand British accents. My guess would be computer captioning, as most people would have spotted the silliness of some of them.

  • hey it's justin bieber!!

  • @dafuki enough with the bbr shit.

  • Scott Fargus!!

  • I definitely like this production way better than the Disney version.

  • Haha! No part three! what a gyp!

  • Anyone know who the sculpture is at 3:27?

  • @SDAddario88 Stalin.

  • @AndrewRayGorman Exactly. This is a communist attempt to brainwash American children into believing communist policies.

  • @SDAddario88 Let's see - wasn't written with Americans in mind, no different from any western cautionary tale for children (well, except that early western tales of that kind include rape and cannibalism), neither Sting nor Spitting Image are communist, and the tale actually applauds defiance of authority figures. So, I'm not sure how much more wrong you can be.

  • I KNEW IT!! Pause at exactly 3:21. It's the Soviet flag!!

  • Not only can we get the rest of Peter and the Wolf but the part that came after to this? I seem to recall a part at the with Peter and puppets of Wagner, Mozart, etc. pratting about to another Prokofiev piece, may have been symphony No. 1.

  • 5:56-6:10 Is it just me, or does that music remind you of "The Land Before Time"?

  • love these. where's part three?!?!?

  • My three and four year old really like this. They would love to see the third part. It is wonderful that the children can see the actual instruments that represent the animals. Great for learning instruments of the orchestra. The silly puppets make the this classic story less scary than it really is when acted out for young children.
