This is good model to follow for the modern forehand. Do you have any such video to post for a modern two handed backhand? Also for the forehand if you were running to the side for a wide ball, would you still follow this exact same footwork?
I'm not sure who you would credit it most to, but the modern forehand develops slowly from seeing more and more pros using it. Everyone has a different variation and the most successful pros (with their variations) are often then mimicked, which leads to trends and develops new technique.
