My girlfriend and I have a 25 gallon tank with 8 frogs(she loves them all lol) and 2 loaches and we can't for the life of us keep it clean, and you seem to be doing just fine with more fish than us!
@tnad5212 Get a good filtration system like a canister. Also do water changes that are around 30% at most. You can do water changes with using a syphon. Make sure to syphon around the gravel. Thats where the gunk gets stuck. You can also use a diatom filter oncea week.
@tnad5212 You'll need a strong filtration and remember filtration is NOT just running water through a bunch of sponges, include the carbon. Hope this helps :)
@MrRik338 its a Aquatic Frog Hymenochirus Boettgeri are able to go in a community aquarium with peaceful fish. They are fully aquatic and therefore will stay underwater for hours and only occasionally come up to breathe. i have 4 in my tank. just when buying make not 2 get mixed up with there cousin who unlike the dawf frogs who stay pretty small. The african clawed frogs will eat anyfish they can fit in there mouth an grow to size of ur hand i have to these guys in seprate tank mine albino
triops arent supose to eat it but they are going on what they have like if you have 2 triops and you starve them one eats the other so youre sorta starving them
Triops have been hatched in a nursery/hatchery in the tank and once they were around 6 weeks old we've let them out with the rest of the fish. We had two and one died at he age of 10 weeks and the other at 13 weeks They never seem to bother tetras or any other fish in the tank at all and just were scavenging around for food. I was more concerned on frogs eating them but no such thing happened. I'm upgradin tank at the moment and might try triops in a community tank again - they were quite fun.
from local aquatic shop. They are african dwarf frogs and they are lovely. Sometimes they sing. And male manages to grab on female a lot recently so there are plenty of scattered eggs around
