well i find that PR samurai is well done. All things considered, it could have been worse had disney kept the rights to PR. At least Saban took the series back and made the current variation how it should have been. THough thats not to say that there are no flaws to it, dont get me wrong. I find that the opening is kinda redundant to what we have already heard back in the 90s, they could have at least give it a unique theme. but the certain plot elements in the show at least stays unique to SS.
@DrenobiumOrchid my 2 cents. its hard to adapt a samurai theme for western audiences. samurai very japanese, no doubt. granted that may be why Saban is doing a close .adaptation to shinkenger. but here's the thing, when disney stopped PR with RPM i went tosuper sentai. so there's no point in me watching the same or a close version of what i've already seen. and the poor scheduling doesnt help eiher. so in the end ill stick to shinkenger, but to his or her own
@nonaes well let me say this their have been many samurai and ninja based movies in america before hand so its not like people in america dont know i for one know alot of people who have watch eastern films that have been dubbed and even subbed suggesting that western audiences dont know that much about samurais is just wrong concept you have

It's for moments like this that make me realize that Sentai will always be better than Rangers. It shows that Japan has their own ideas of superheroes.

There's been at least one time that the Power rangers was better than the Sentai version... @MrDynogames Well you have to remember that some a lot of the Japanese concepts wouldn't make sense to american children or to the people who don't know the Japanese culture as we do, I assume. For an example the shodophone or caligraphy brush phone.
@Mespino826 true but there were smarter ways of doing it instead of how they did it. like for the symbol power, they could have said that the tablet origami were the source of the power and were discovered in japan, this would explain the symbols, 2ndly they then could have instead made it so that they didnt write out the kanji but instead drew a symbol in the air closest to what they ment. The shodophone would have been passed off as a paint brush also. bottom line they were really lazy.

@naruto1539 True, such why I said that maybe they could have had the origami come from japan which would explain the kanji, however obtaining raw footage of SS shoots wouldnt be to hard and from their they could change the kanji drawn in fight scenes to shapes which would fit better. Also the japanese origions would explain the helmets. and how many people beleive PR=SS? they wouldnt have lost anything if they had just decided to give the series more thought
@MrDynogames i agree with you that it would make it easier a bit and i respect that i just believe it would just cause more people to complain. There are a lot of people who complain if one things changed -_- sadly no matter what they would of done it wouldn't be avoided. and probably cost more maybe it would of been simpler if their sensei explained it instead of origami just a suggestion. As for how many people trust me their are a lot you'd be surprised i see it on gokaiger vids and older SS
@Timothy2035 Power Rangers Samurai. Trust me, Shinkenger is one of the greatest Super Sentai seasons made but PR Samurai is awful. I would stick to Shinkenger subbs
@yorkemaster1 Saban should have learned from Wild Force and NOT have made a direct translation of the original concept. There are so many things foreign in this program, it doesn't surprise me that it is doing so bad. That and the dialogue sounds like it was written by a 2-year-old.
@nonaes hmm probably cause PR samurai isn't meant to be like shinkenger have you thought about that maybe not considering you think its a translation of it the only thing we use is footage its our own story with borrowed scenes and a slightly borrowed story plot but hey maybe if people would search things up they'd know instead of thinking its supposed to be like super sentai
@henshinman whilst agree with all of your comments, it has to be said that saban really tried to make prs there own (an example being the new shogun battaliser or reusing the mmpr theme). also it is important to recognise how they made little tributes like keeping the shiba clan idea, that said we did get ripped off on the morphers
@MrBGS0282 yea the Shiba clan idea, let alone samurai theme was always kind of a head scratcher to think about how it could even done before PR samurai ever premiered, oh and while im talking about it really saban couldn't there be an Japanese red this time, i have to think even for a kid it is hard to believe a white guy as a samurai clans leader. hopefully the goseiger adaptation will be better
@henshinman i agree, the goseiger adaptation will be good as long as they dont follow the disney idea and every episode go "oh no we are losing, and the zord we got last time that we said was unstopable has been stopped, oh well new zord please" because thats what made proo bad, still holding out for a gosei knight theme
