Man, read the manual first before calling contour shit control. The FREQ knob controls which frequencies you want to cut out... if it's at 0, the contour will take away bass frequencies, when at 12 o'clock it will take mids and at full it will take upper mids and treble. Countour just helps you ajust equalizer exactly to your likings. By the way this little pedal is amazing.

I was really interested in this pedal, but when i tried it i was so damn dissappointed. Cause it looks very good, but it sounds crap. I can recommend Ibanez SM7 over this many times, especially for heavy metal, powermetal, blackmetal. Much better.

@TheJejan No. Its not. I bought it and i wanted to use it as a booster pedal. Dont do my mistake. If you want a good cheep booster try the VINTAGE TUBE OVERDRIVE TO800. I works perfecly for my Marshal valvestate 8080 amp. Adds more tube feel and some highs. Also more sustain and power.

lol, i don't know why this pedal sounds so shitty in your hands, amp and guitar. I modded my jackhammer and with LESS gain structure and different diodes, and 3 JRC4580D IC-s, plugged into my Suprem vintage german full tube amp, and it fucking OWNS, a super crunchy fat metal tone. I don't know why it sounds like this in your video, it's horrid. The gain on this pedal should NEVER exceed 2 o'clock max in the distortion mode.

This pedal is good to play rock or any distortion music, but on distortion mode this one is need EQ, on OD mode the sound is warm, I used this one with LTD H251FM and M200FM and MXR EQ10 .. The sounds prety-prety awesome...

This is a great pedal. You can get a classic overdriven sound of this one and a harsh metalish distortion. the overdrive channel is great as it models a jcm 800 Marshall head. it cuts trough the drums and bass nicely. The distortion channel on the other hand is a bit less because it scoops out a lot of mids. But if you're looking for a versatile rock pedal wich cuts trough nicely, you can't go wrong with this one.

i got this old marshall solid state amp, one with no overdrive button and a preamp vol. for the gain and i take that up to 10, then use the jh on od, gain on 0, level on 10, it sounds fucking amazing, like a proper tube amp (probably wishful thinking) but unfortunately i cant get a good overdrive setting from the pedal that doesnt sound shit through my amp on a cleaner setting, but i dont mind goin the zakk wylde way, havin to roll off guitar vol. to clean up, coz the od sounds THAT good :D
