This has plenty of passion and fire but it is a classical kind - the tango shouldn't push forward like Tchaikovsky. The more fierce the rhythms get, the more you have to fight the urge to rush. It's difficult because the body moves differently than classical musicians are trained to move. Juanjo Hermida, Fernando Suarez Paz are perfect examples...the musicians in this video are capable of playing like real tango musicians if they work on it.

It is not nessesary that two excellent classical musician have to play this music as tango musicians. They are classical musicians and offer a different classical approach to this music which by the way was written originaly for a great classical musician - Rostropovich. In that way we have divercity of musicianship which turns the interpreting of music into real art.

"they messed up the middle part" ?!?!?! come on, that was a great performance of this music. Love the energy, and bravo for the pianist also! Is that Sofia's version of it or is it a different arrangement? Some of it is different from that version, I enjoyed it a lot!
