my 09 jetta has 43.000 miles on it as of this morning ..drive alot *lol MIA -Nyc 2 tanks of gas with 70miles on cruise..!.. its time to get it tuned any good sug. ? thanks..
We import directly from the manufacturer in Germany modules with plug and play connection systems to increase HP and Torque in the new "Comon Rail" TDI
The power output will be increased by 15% and the fuel economy will improve by 4%
The DieselPower module is a 2 channel unit meaning it will raise injection pressure as well as turbo boost pressure to compliment the additional fuel. All DieselPower products are mage in Germany using military grade components, factory OEM conectors and are covered by a three year replacement warranty.
The price is $799.00 for the 2 channel and $699.00 for the 1 channel (injection pressure)
have you had issues with yours? like i'm wanting to get the 2010 one but i really dont want to see the check engine light one or anything else and i'd like to hope the car will run good and not like shit.
Absolutely incorrect! If you raise injection pressure the fuel will be atomized finer and burn more completely. We have all German certifications for exhaust emmissions as well as European e1 and TUV
All DieselPower product which are used on a Common Rail injection system will NEVER increase smoke emmissions!!!!
When you tune any diesel, it will spew huge clouds of black smoke behind you. Diesels are meant to economy and if you try to tune them, the motorists behind you will curse at you.
The DSG is faster and the only difference in the fuel mileage is maybe 1or 2 im getting 45 mpg on he average but my 09 already has 26k miles on it because i travel for work... I have an 07 rx8 and they run the same times on a 1/8 of a mile
Yes, jerky it is, because it can shift so darn quick, slamming from one gear to the next...where in a MT, you are the master blender, you have the power to have a smooth or jerky gear change. I have a DSG...it's nice for commuting, as I drive 35,000 miles a year...but I should have gotten a MT!
To spare the details, it's a pack that is quickly/easily installed, improving your performance (HP/TQ/and I believe fuel economy as well), but will cost you approx $600US.

@valereydyachuk
Wow why are you giving out information when you obviously have no clue about diesel engines.
papaown 2 years ago
It isn't very much an informative statement but a humorous one.
valereydyachuk 2 years ago
How is it humorous when its wrong lol.
papaown 2 years ago
Just look on youtube when they have tuned diesel engines on the dyno, see how much big the clouds of smoke they produce.

CEL on - Fail.
Is that to be expected with the power box?

hmmm, idk what's better for this car, dsg or manual
Dsg may be a little faster, but it's not as fuel efficient, not as reliable and costs 1100$ more
I don't think the key to this car is 0-60 times, I think it's about freeway driving and fuel-efficiency and reliability. And the Manual wins there.
FARISM13 3 years ago 4
I drove both and the DSG in the TDI is very jerky and feels less powerful. Im buying the manual.

@FARISM13 Actually the DSG pulls out around 1-2MPG better than the manual. However I agree it is not as reliable.

Slow slow slow..........

really shows dsg is way faster, the flywheel on the manual sticks are too heavy, revs drop too slow
i bet vw did it on purpose to promote more dsg sales
Vap3 3 years ago 2
maybe they did it to help keep what little HP you gained...stock is only 140HP...but I think you are right about DSG sales.

I just purchased a 2009 TDI. What, exactly, is the power module? How does it work? What does it cost? Upsides and downsides?

We set the module too high at first when the car was still in "Transport Mode" It had not had the Pre Delivery Inspection done yet.
This was a 6 speed standard shift.
