@sarahlaruffa good question! My new stomach is so small by design, that I must focus on eating my protein first. I have veggies on occasion, but rarely have fruit.
@Subscriber102 I haven't played with the wii fit in a long time! but I think a 20 or 30 minute workout was good for 2 or 300 calories...depending on what I was doing
i heard about the 800 calorie diet..but is this really effective?some say it would make ur metabolism shot down, they say u can lose weight buy this but beacause ur meatbolism is slow u can easily gain back the weight... Yesterday i tried this diet.. And i felt really really hungry and weak.. I ate yogurt as my meal and apple and banana for my snack ...
One of the things I love about being post-op is trying all new recipes. I can actually cook scallops! I also love all kinds of marinates. I also eat about 600-800 a day and exercise avg 3hrs a day but I'm only 4 months out. I've lost 75 in 4 months but feel like I'm behind everyone.
geez and Im struggling to keep to 1500 calories a day. I have not got any weight loss surgery yet, been on a waiting list almost two years. Seeing a dietitian and 1500 cals was suggested, finding it really hard. I hate being so big but I also hate feeling deprived and look forward to having a lapband. Watching your videos gives me hope
Thank you for sharing that with us - I'm going to check out the Nectar protein. I'm using Bariatric Advantage & am sick of all the flavors already. lol
Looking good Mark. Does your surgeon also work with a nutritionist? 800 calories just doesn't seem like enough for a man, especially when you're working out. Seems like on that amount of calories you'd have to live mostly on shakes. Our group counts meal size and protein, limits sugars, carbs, and fats but doesn't count calories. Glad it's working for you and glad you aren't always hungry (I assume).
yes, he has a nutritionist on staff. I think I've worked out a good balance of shakes and food and don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I do get hungry, but only around my regular meal times. I see my doc again in August, and we'll reevaluate my calorie intake then.
don't you get hungry and/or weak from so little calories, especially after working out? i think i'd pass out. i wanna try that nectar stuff...serve it up bartender!! lol you look amazing btw mark, keep on rockin!!!
after watching this i am finding i'm eating too much. i need to try that nectar. i tried choc protein shake for the first time since surgery (except a couple tastes right after surgery) and it was gross. i've heard good stuff about nectar.
Wow that is so AWESOME that all of those are hot sauces!! I love love love to try all different kinds of hot sauces, well before the surgery I did, I am only 3 weeks gastric bypass post op so I am not to sure when i'll be able to have them again... but I am hoping sooner than later!!LOL!
You should do a video on your favorite hot sauces!! I would watch it over and over again... hahaha!!
he wants me burning more than I'm eating...I usually burn on average 500 more calories than I eat. I'll see my doc again in august and we'll reevaluate my calorie intake then
What was his reasoning for the 800 calorie total? I've wondered if I'm eating too many calories at times ( some days I know I have lol). I asked my doctor about the calories and he told me in so many words me that they don't give us a guideline for calories. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
New to your vids :) You look amazing and congrats on your weight loss. I hadn't heard of that protein powder. Have you tried any of the other flavors?
great job on 800 calories. i am still preop but i allow myself 1000 cals. i know it will change but i fig. this way it wont be such a shock to my system. thanks for showing your day. waves~~~
Hey Anne! I really enjoyed the sea bass! I can't wait to make it again. Yes those are hot sauces...I have over 100 different kinds but display my favs on the window sill in my kitchen.
Mark, Are you following Sonia E Russell 800 calories plan? She wrote the a eBook on it "HCG Diet 800 Calorie Protocol"
