Lopez helped define this band. I know Mikael thinks he's Opeth, but guess what - so was Lopez. I love the fact that Lopez started out kinda meh with Opeth, but put a lot of effort to grow in this band, and wow - now I think one of the best drummers ever! They should have done whatever it took to get Lopez's head straight so he could remain in the band.

I totally agree that Lopez had something that Axe can never have, and that he was part of the 'soul' of the band, but if his health couldn't keep up with the band, then that's that. Not much you can do. Check out his new band 'Soen'- they are so fucking awesome.

Although this live performance does sound ever so *slightly* rushed on the 16th note double bass run in the middle of the rhythm, it doesn't really bother me because it's almost unnoticeable and I LOVE the fret noise in the last few seconds! Sounds awesome!!
