Fun fact: The TMNT III review was actually uploaded on James' YouTube channel back in early 2007, but it was removed due to terms of violation. Ironically, the whole TMNT III movie is uploaded onto YouTube. You might as well just watch it on Cinemassacre.

Oh, brother. If you thought this was bad, you shouldn't tried reading the novelization of it. Yes, there was a novelization of this movie... sorta. Except it had nothing to do with Samurai lantern time travel. No, instead, Michaelangelo buys a magic lamp and wishes to go back in time and have a wild west adventure.  This is why I got an extra laugh when the nerd said "it could only be more cliched if it took place in the wild west and started with a train robbery." Yeah. He's right.

The first TMNT movie was really enjoyable because of it's dark tone and it's royal to the comics. The second was okay but not as good as the first. The third movie is god awful.

This movie was filmed in historic Astoria, Oregon. I know because after my dad graduated highschool in '91, he was saving for college and got a job building the set for this movie. Thats the only reason I watched it at all.

Everyone keeps asking why there's no part two, so let me explain once and for all. Months ago, i posted both parts at the same time when i noticed it wasnt on youtube. it didnt take long for youtube to delete part 2, while ignoring part one. a few months later, i uploaded part 2 again in higher quality, only to have it deleted again. i have no idea why this happened, but the rest of the video is on youtube anyway, so just watch that. hope everythings cleared up now.

@14rock9 Actually, if I remember correctly James originally uploaded both parts on YouTube. What happened was that part 2 was removed due to a copyright claim by New Line Cinema, leading to his first strike on his YouTube channel. Part 1 was going to be next, so James removed it before he could get a second strike.

@pyramidhead138 you know, that movie came out 5 years before i was born. I didnt even know it existed until James's review. When i saw it on youtube during winter break of last year, i liked it. Then last week, i watched it again, having bought the dvd. This time, i thought it was awesome. It makes me wish i was born in the 80's like my sister and i had watched the cartoon. However, I'm going through a marathon now, watching every episode. It should be fun.

Interestingly, on the more recent DVD releases, it's subtitled Turtles in Time on the cover. It's bizarre since the only thing they could be referencing is the XBox Live and PS3 remake of the old game. That means that future audiences will probably know this film as "Turtles III: Turtles in Time" and it'll be the legitimate title.

I know this might be wrong but( By the way like this movie even know it didn't have any other characters from the show) I think that chances are that bad guy, the leader of the japanese army, is an ancestor of the shredder, Look at the scroll he talk about in the movie, it showed the turtles so maybe way he is shredder's ancestor.
