What happend was accually very cool and smart, greenpeace brought their largest ship to the G8 and started heading for the Iland wher the meeting was held, the police focused all their attension and resources on that large ship. And when all the police where preoccupied with the large ship greenpeace sent out all theese smaller vessels, thats why they came so far!
It really proved nothing. If they did that anywhere else they would have been destroyed. And for what? I didn't even see a banner or their message of the day. What was that all about? Nobody interviewed. They just acted like militant radicals. It was stupid. Funny how they pretend to be green and use fuel puking yachts, go fast boats and military zodiacs. ...I really don't think complaints of that nature are even close to comparison with the disaster created by a nuclear meltdown. Animals and plants are always casualties in anything we do, but it's a question of scale.

Coal power is pretty dirty, nuclear is just radioactive and not so efficient. It's tough to choose which one to use they've got pros and cons. We should try to refine wind power and solar power.

The points they make are worth more to the nature then the polutions a few boats make.
What happend was accually very cool and smart, greenpeace brought their largest ship to the G8 and started heading for the Iland wher the meeting was held, the police focused all their attension and resources on that large ship. And when all the police where preoccupied with the large ship greenpeace sent out all theese smaller vessels, thats why they came so far!

It really proved nothing. If they did that anywhere else they would have been destroyed. And for what? I didn't even see a banner or their message of the day. What was that all about? Nobody interviewed. They just acted like militant radicals. It was stupid. Funny how they pretend to be green and use fuel puking yachts, go fast boats and military zodiacs. Along with all other protests it showed that the G8 and the current system isnt popular to some extent, greenpeace pushed the protests furthest by doing this. To lobby effectivly they have to use fuel like a normal being, why are you so upset with it?

Well, Greenpeace is truly hypocritical. They forced the police to run wide open and that dumped a lot of fuel and oil into the water. They used a boat that is comparable to a hummer. They spend donation money on stupid things that harm the environment. They truly are corrupt. Thats what happens when you have too much money.
I still don't know what they proved.

I only agree with greenpeace in one thing, to protect the enviroment. But these fuckers are crazy check out the videos of them colliding their bigger ships into whalling boats. I agree maelo. About the military open fire policy. Any interference from greenpeace or any organization is considered terrorism. They could very well exterminate the threats (come on there the military)but it would give the US a bad rap which is not needed. Firing on an unarmed organization, think about it. Thats like you or I open firing with an M-60 into a Salvation Army store.

I know what you are saying men, but check out the videos of them crashing there big ships into other ships. Now that its considered an attack using a ship to crash another one, they dont have guns or misslies but they use their big ships as weapons. At least the salvation army doesnt crash things. And they could cause some serious damage even death in some of this stupid stunts. So I really still agree on the firing policy.

the swedish combat boat 90 HS is fucking brilliant, im a mechanic aboard one of them in Swedish Royal Marines :P the crash stop you see at the end of the movie, where the boat stops suddenly and turns on its own axis... that feels niice when ur sitting in the gun turret :D
