They just don't understand freedom of Speech. And its those girls who posted those photos on the internet anyway. Its their fault if people are looking at them.
Did you know? Reddit's sub-reddits are created via the users NOT the official owners, you may indeed believe that reddit ought to be removed, but have you ever viewed reddit? How can you judge which you have never viewed? It is ridiculous to believe that you, as a minority, wish to remove reddit even though the few un-popular sub-reddits are there does not give you the right to remove a social community of thousands possibly millions of dedicated fans because there are a few hundred people wh o
Reddit will bring the end of the world. The second coming of Reddit where all human beings will be judge and rot in the fires of hell. All hail Reddit, the demon king of the world and your lord.
"Don't we want them to be good corporate citizens"? - What the FUCK do you have for right to force independent entities to be good corporate citizens?! You "don't wanna be affiliated with a site like this" ? - Then just fucking don't.
If you wanna help, make it easier for ordinary people to enforce their copyright and privacy.
What the fuck is good corporate citizen anyway? The more I think about it the more of a good a-corporate citizen I want to be.
Judging from the related videos I guess we have to shut-down youtube too. Anderson suggest the photos come directly from Facebook so we'll have to shut that down as well, it's the same content after all.
While it might be weird and not my cup of tea, isn't legal to post pictures of teens/underage if they are not nude? Its not like reddit is hosting child porn on their site. If like Cooper said, those pics are taken from facebook and then posted on reddit, then it is pretty much fair game.
No, I do not approve of the display of child pornography, but that reason a lone doesn't justify shutting down the entire Reddit community. They donated thousands of dollars to people in need and were the biggest contributors to the anti-SOPA and anti-PIPA protests.
You don't fix this problem with a hammer but with a scalpel.
@darthpedro123456789 I saw that post too, but when I read it the donations added up to over $72,000. While I do think that's great, there aren't always great people on there willing to donate to third world countries. I've been on the subreddit r/spacedicks and I think they have the most revolting pictures I have ever seen. For example, I remember one with a girl rotting in a bathtub, infested with maggots. The comments joked about how 'they'd hit that'. I'm sure all of them were joking but the
Reddit gave 64,000$ dollars to an orphanage in Kenya. Not the owners of the site but the people that go to site. Explain Anderson how people willing to donate that much money to help a poor orphanage are full of terrible hateful people? -_-
The girls were clothed (albeit many of them in bikinis). It was NOT a porn site by any stretch of the imagination and therefore most definitely legal. In fact, the moderators would ban anyone who posted something that crossed the line.

For example if I said "I am going to kill you" you can call the cops and I can be arrested... why? BECAUSE YOU THREATENED ME I HAVE A RIGHT NOT TO BE THREATENED. Same things apply YOU CAN NOT POST PICS OF NAKED PEOPLE UNLESS THEY APPROVE.
Wow. They say in the segment where most of the pictures come from: Facebook. Go to the source. Facebook is a distributor of Child Porn! Better yet, we should put the girl in jail, who initiated, created, and posted the child porn it to the internet, specifically because she wanted everyone to see. She is a producer of kiddie porn! Put her in jail!
You people are looking way too far into whether or not this is child porn. Of course you can't tell if the subjects are 17 or younger. That's the joy of the internet you don't know whether or not they're legal. It's a mystery. As for the part about the entirety of Reddit being responsible for r/childporn or any other questionable Subreddit; that's utter bullshit. Because anyone can contribute to Reddit, there is absolutely no way for the mods or anyone to completely control the content. Period.
I have a strong single-sided rivalry with the reddit community, but Anderson is completely missing the point here, and should have been raped on the knuckle for such a misleading story on Reddit. The part where he claimed the blog post to be false due to a small sub-reddit especially highlights the shitty turn modern Media is taking.
I hate reddit, but there is a bigger issue here: Older guys like younger girls, and vice versa. WHEN WILL THE WORLD LEARN TO GET THE FUCK OVER THIS? It's not a problem in ANY WAY.
@ihaterobbie123 Gawker.com did a story on how people were trading CP. A member of the Something Awful forums was looking in r/jailbait for funny quotes and stumbled on .rar files full of CP.
The First does NOT apply on a private website with an EULA like reddit. They can do what they want, when they want.
Also, you are condoning child molestation. For CP to have been made, a child has to be harmed. You're defending CP. Not too big of a leap, really. Why are you defending this?
@9AtNight I never said reddit's removal of the JB section was an infringement of the 1st amendment, I'm countering that retard, Sunny Hostin, when she calls JB "borderline kiddie porn" (whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean) and further claims that CP isn't protected under the 1st.
I condone using images of murder victims, therefore I condone murder?
"looking in r/jailbait for funny quotes"
I have never in my life read a worse lie. Regardless, what does shutting down one reddit accomplish?
@ihaterobbie123 Nice, just dismiss me outright instead of going to Something Awful or Gawker and checking it out for yourself.
I'm not American, so I don't know your First that well, but jesus christ who gives a shit if CP is protected or not? Pedos were distributing it on the site, people were asking for nudes of a 14 year old girl, and I could really go on on how people were being disgusting fucks.
It accomplishes telling scum that their behaviour is unacceptable. Again, why defend this?
@9AtNight I'm sure the reporting is accurate, I cast into doubt that a person would willingly go on the jailbait section to look for funny quotes, it reeks of BS.
Even though I don't share an attraction to underdeveloped girls, I can't deny that some of them start looking really attractive around 15. Calling people disgusting because you don't share their sexual attractions is simply bigotry. Sure it's somewhat creepy, but that doesn't make them scum. The law and society aren't moral guides.
lol reddit users are such faggots. Their shit gets censored all the time, you have to wait 5 minutes to post and your get points for reposting old memes from 4chan.
Seriously guys, 4chan isn't a secret club or a "pedo site". It's basically the internet, raw and uncensored.
Lol at all these haters disliking this video. IMO, while it's okay to talk about teens looking sexy or hot in person or internet, posting nudes is against the law, and rightfully the reason why that subforum got shut down.
@theeboredone Did you even watch the video? They kept commenting on how they didn't see any nudes... that it was "borderline" child porn. Whatever that means.
@cynicist You're right, nothing was mentioned about nudes. However, if you do a simple google search, you'd know that's why the subforum was shut down. People were posting nudes of kids. Cooper simply put fuel to the fire
People need to also stop disliking this video for the reason "child pornography is not explicitly mentioned". A simple google search will tell you the sub forum got shut down, because people were posting naked photos. That was why it got shut down, and that's how it should be.
@theeboredone If you did a more advanced google search, you'd see that it was shutdown due to the negative attention of cooper's story, not any posting of nudes. There were apparently nudes traded over pm, and the reason that happened is because it is against the rules of that subforum to post nudes there. Not that any of it matters, since there are already people using alternate subforums. In the end this is a big fuss about something that should have ended with post deletion and bans, not this
@cynicist Depends on your sources then. The New York Daily News reported that a user by the name of TheContortionist posted actual nude photos of a girl actually performing oral sex. That led to the exchange of PMs of more pictures, but overall, nude photos of kid(s) were posted on the forums, and that resulted in the mods deleting the pictures, and also closing down the forum. So yes, blame the user(s), not Cooper or anyone else.
@theeboredone I saw the actual picture. It was not a nude. I blame cooper for trying to make a sensationalist story out of nothing and make reddit look like some seedy website for perverts, even though appropriate action was taken. (the police were contacted and those involved were reported)
@theeboredone The reason I say "out of nothing" is because this isn't about pictures of naked kids. Supposedly TheContortionist is a disgruntled ex posting pictures of his girlfriend, who in all honesty does not look like a "kid" at all. (apparently she is 14)
The owner never said that they "had no control over their posters". He said that they didn't want to limit what users wanted to talk about. Yes there are rules on reddit, but those rules are there to stop illegal activity so that the site still can run and people have a forum to talk about what they want to.
I for one am glad the Jailbait site has been shut down, but that Sunny woman's point about the site needing to respect it's role as a Corporate Citizen....haha what the hell?? There's movements all across the states accusing Corporations of malfeasance and she's angry at one website! A little perspective in the name of all that isn't woefully retarded. Way to miss the point Sunny.
You need to understand that just because YOU feel it is an "issue" (whatever the frack that is supposed to mean), that does not mean you can tread on other people's rights.
What is to "fix"? Nothing, it'ss not illegal. What you can do instead is VOTE for change, petition your legislators to make what you feel should be illegal, illegal, AND choose not to do business with companies which offend you. Otherwise I bet something you do offends people too, we have to learn to get along
Don't be silly. Just because I don't like to do something, doesn't mean I should try to keep others from doing it. Think about it, if you don't give these pervs a online outlet for their fetish, they're going to go out and find another way like hanging out at the swimming pool or mall, etc., it's not as though a site like that turns people into pervs, they already had a loose screw.
Further, if these teens don't want to be seen in suggestive clothing or poses they have that choice.
@StinkyCheese9999 I think it's like putting a beer in front of an alcoholic. Sure they're gonna crave it but the further they have it the better. If you put this stuff in front of pervs they're going to get more and more into it.
@StinkyCheese9999 Gawker had an article about how honest child porn was being passed around behind the scenes of r/jailbait. I'd wager that's pretty goddamn illegal.
And you might want to explain that rights treading thing (not that it mattered on reddit, you don't have the right to free speech on a private website) to the people who re-posted PRIVATE facebook photos in the subreddit.
Yes by all means prosecute those doing illegal things, but the argument you make about free speech doesn't wash because even though you might be on a private 'site, that in no way justifies a 3rd party dictating what that site should or shouldn't allow, that IS an issue of free speech.
"Private" facebook photos? You must be kidding. Only an idiot puts something on facebook that they aren't willing to let the whole world see. If you don't want a picture to be seen don't be in it.
@StinkyCheese9999 I was under the impression that reddit itself pulled the plug, which would NOT be a third-party and therefore completely in the right. Did something else happen?
And honestly, if I seriously can't expect a measure of privacy on the internet in this day and age, when we've had years of rapid growth and quickly evolving standards to the point where I can do my banking securely, then that speaks to much more deep-seated issues that should be solved, rather then brushed over.
Anderson Cooper helped raise awareness on a very serious issue.
Remember one thing, all the kids whose pictures were on Reddit are real people. And some pedophile (probably calling himself and ephoebophile or whatever) was not only jerking off to their nude pictures, but the support he (hell, could be even she) received for acting on their "fetish" lead to some pretty gruesome stuff.
As for Cooper, ignore the accusations about him. People who try to suppress truth ALWAYS resort to slander.
The same country who will accept the murder of innocent children in the middle east as casualties of war and the perpetrators of these crimes will return home heroes. America is a cesspool for hypocrisy, ignorance and turning a blind eye to that which
They just don't understand freedom of Speech. And its those girls who posted those photos on the internet anyway. Its their fault if people are looking at them.

9AtNight 4 months ago
@9AtNight I never said reddit's removal of the JB section was an infringement of the 1st amendment, I'm countering that retard, Sunny Hostin, when she calls JB "borderline kiddie porn" (whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean) and further claims that CP isn't protected under the 1st.
I condone using images of murder victims, therefore I condone murder?
"looking in r/jailbait for funny quotes"
I have never in my life read a worse lie. Regardless, what does shutting down one reddit accomplish?
ihaterobbie123 4 months ago
@ihaterobbie123 Nice, just dismiss me outright instead of going to Something Awful or Gawker and checking it out for yourself.
I'm not American, so I don't know your First that well, but jesus christ who gives a shit if CP is protected or not? Pedos were distributing it on the site, people were asking for nudes of a 14 year old girl, and I could really go on on how people were being disgusting fucks.
It accomplishes telling scum that their behaviour is unacceptable. Again, why defend this?
9AtNight 4 months ago

It's basically the internet, raw and uncensored.
lol reddit

Y'know what's inoppropriate? that CNN calls it "kiddy porn" on live national television. Way to go, CNN. Also, the bitch used "trolling" wrong.

Lol at all these haters disliking this video. IMO, while it's okay to talk about teens looking sexy or hot in person or internet, posting nudes is against the law, and rightfully the reason why that subforum got shut down.
theeboredone 4 months ago
@theeboredone Did you even watch the video? They kept commenting on how they didn't see any nudes... that it was "borderline" child porn. Whatever that means.
cynicist 4 months ago
@cynicist You're right, nothing was mentioned about nudes. However, if you do a simple google search, you'd know that's why the subforum was shut down. People were posting nudes of kids. Cooper simply put fuel to the fire
People need to also stop disliking this video for the reason "child pornography is not explicitly mentioned". A simple google search will tell you the sub forum got shut down, because people were posting naked photos. That was why it got shut down, and that's how it should be.
theeboredone 4 months ago 2
@theeboredone If you did a more advanced google search, you'd see that it was shutdown due to the negative attention of cooper's story, not any posting of nudes. There were apparently nudes traded over pm, and the reason that happened is because it is against the rules of that subforum to post nudes there. Not that any of it matters, since there are already people using alternate subforums. In the end this is a big fuss about something that should have ended with post deletion and bans, not this
cynicist 4 months ago 2
@cynicist Depends on your sources then. The New York Daily News reported that a user by the name of TheContortionist posted actual nude photos of a girl actually performing oral sex. That led to the exchange of PMs of more pictures, but overall, nude photos of kid(s) were posted on the forums, and that resulted in the mods deleting the pictures, and also closing down the forum. So yes, blame the user(s), not Cooper or anyone else.
theeboredone 4 months ago 2
@theeboredone I saw the actual picture. It was not a nude. I blame cooper for trying to make a sensationalist story out of nothing and make reddit look like some seedy website for perverts, even though appropriate action was taken. (the police were contacted and those involved were reported)
cynicist 4 months ago
@theeboredone The reason I say "out of nothing" is because this isn't about pictures of naked kids. Supposedly TheContortionist is a disgruntled ex posting pictures of his girlfriend, who in all honesty does not look like a "kid" at all. (apparently she is 14)
cynicist 4 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
so why don't you report Facebook? since all the photos come from there originally

BinAlaDiN 4 months ago
@BinAlaDiN And how is ignoring an issue compared to fixing it any better?
9AtNight 4 months ago
@9AtNight
StinkyCheese9999 4 months ago
@StinkyCheese9999 Whoa, you really like looking at jailbait don't you?
mavs2147 4 months ago
@mavs2147
StinkyCheese9999 4 months ago
@StinkyCheese9999 I think it's like putting a beer in front of an alcoholic. Sure they're gonna crave it but the further they have it the better. If you put this stuff in front of pervs they're going to get more and more into it.
mavs2147 4 months ago
@StinkyCheese9999 Gawker had an article about how honest child porn was being passed around behind the scenes of r/jailbait. I'd wager that's pretty goddamn illegal.
And you might want to explain that rights treading thing (not that it mattered on reddit, you don't have the right to free speech on a private website) to the people who re-posted PRIVATE facebook photos in the subreddit.
9AtNight 4 months ago
@9AtNight
StinkyCheese9999 4 months ago
@StinkyCheese9999 I was under the impression that reddit itself pulled the plug, which would NOT be a third-party and therefore completely in the right. Did something else happen?
And honestly, if I seriously can't expect a measure of privacy on the internet in this day and age, when we've had years of rapid growth and quickly evolving standards to the point where I can do my banking securely, then that speaks to much more deep-seated issues that should be solved, rather then brushed over.
9AtNight 4 months ago
Anderson Cooper helped raise awareness on a very serious issue.
Remember one thing, all the kids whose pictures were on Reddit are real people. And some pedophile (probably calling himself and ephoebophile or whatever) was not only jerking off to their nude pictures, but the support he (hell, could be even she) received for acting on their "fetish" lead to some pretty gruesome stuff.
As for Cooper, ignore the accusations about him. People who try to suppress truth ALWAYS resort to slander.

well they killed jailbait but deadkids is still up you americans are insane how is hot chicks with no nudity more offensive then dead babies?
