  • i am not trying to make fun of you or anthing but r yu deaf? i promise if yu are i am definitely not making fun you!

  • @jacehenn123 No, i'm hearing.

  • Joyful applause! Glory to God thru you! More please!

  • WOW!!....Just....WOW!!! I do interpret and I hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings but guys usually aren't so expresive to music. You are so talented!!!

  • Your interpretation of the song is aboslutely beautfiul! After watching yours and watching the "standard" word signing, yours is so much more espressive. I have always wanted to learn sign and this is just inspiring! Thanks for sharing! =)

  • this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song! What a beautiful interpretation!! I'm brushing up on my ASL to interpret at church, I was fluent in ASL but have not signed in 6 years. Sad, I know! I miss it!

  • With church seems sometime made for women sometimes, it very awesome see ur masculine version with expressions for these songs...keep up the great work and Glory to God! :-)

  • loved it.... It is amazing to see men praising Jesus.. May God bless you.. Much love

  • Wonderfull. ASL is a language of it's own, and not at all like straight signed english as you say. I noticed your expressions have some personal touches, very beautiful, and it would take a learned person in ASL to match them to the voice/sound of this lovely hymn of His and our Resurrection. I always sing-sign in worship. It just seems so natural. I get caught away in His Spirit when doing this. It is very liberating. I am a hearing person. Have many hh and df freinds. Thank God for them!

  • Do you even know how good this is?

  • @trenaric Not to sound cocky... but I have a slight idea. lol (young in cheek). Thank you very much!

  • @trenaric Not to sound cocky... but I have a slight idea. lol (young in cheek). Thank you very much!

  • awesome video!!!!...are you actually deaf/hh or do u just like the language?

  • This is such an amazing way to praise God, I love seeing passion in people for the different areas of His kingdom. Be blessed!

  • Praise God... what a wonderful talent... you can tell you love Jesus...

  • Thank you for this video! I'm trying to learn some ASL on my own, and I love watching how people interpret songs, especially so expressively as you have done here. I'm in an area where ASL classes are not offered, do you have any online resources that you'd recommend?

  • @tarhappy ASLPro.com. Although, you can't actually learn the language from a website. The website will only give you vocabulary. There is much more to the language than just knowing the signs for each word. The language is very conceptual and there is a particular grammar that makes it ASL verses just signed english. I encourage you to google classes or even online classes would be better than nothing. If you are really serious about learning the language then you will have to take classes.

  • I have seen many songs in ASL as I learn the language, but watching you, *PHEW* I got chills. It's so powerful! Thank you so much for this and Praise God for you!

  • Very nice!

  • What an amazing video, you did a great job!!!!

  • I've kind of had this desire for a long time to learn sign language for different worship songs -- I enjoy gospel music so much and have always wondered what it would be like if i wasnt able to. I might try to learn some of these -- thanks for providing a tool for me to learn!

  • you are great!!!! I enjoyed that song soooo much keep up the good work for God and for fun because there are many deaf, hard of hearing who dont know jesus because there are not enough interperters, I am working on intrpreting myself right now I only do asl songs at my church, but you are awsome expression and all!!!!

  • Wonderful wonderful WONDERFUL! I love it :o)

  • @ktloveland thank you. I'll record them and let you know as soon as possible.

  • This I one of my favorite songs. Your signing is amazing. I have always wanted to be an official sign language interpreter, but I'm still don't know which college or university to attend. I have signed a few songs, by watching you and picking up on them. Your feedback would be amazing. thank you!

  • @TylerRumph1994 Thank you. Well.... if you record them and put them up and let me know. i'll take a look at them.

  • Hey, I've got a few questions. =) Now, I'm no master of sign language myself, but I noticed something in your video, and I'm not quite sure about it. For one, when the song mentioned 'Jesus', you did the sign for cross. Okay, that can be used, just as Lord or Christ can be. But then the song says "He is risen from the dead." You signed "He is risen from life" Somehow, I don't think that's quite right =)

That kinda threw me off; could you please explain? Thanks =)

  • God bless!!

  • @SoldOut2Jesus1 Yes I can explain that. This song is very very ASL word order. When u interpret something u don't sign wut it says, (that's english) u sign what it means. (that's ASL). I said, "cross jesus crucified" which means "on the cross jesus was crucified" That's ASL grammar. So when the song says, "He is risen from the dead", I signed, "Rise live" which translates to mean, "he has risen and is now alive." If i wud have signed, "He is risen from the dead" that's english. hope that helps.

  • @ktloveland Ah! That makes sense =) Thanks for explaining! As I said, I'm no master at it. Still working on things like grammar... Okay, I didn't really know ASL grammar existed. *bad me*

How did you get into sign language? Curious, because not many people seem to be into it beyond the alphabet, if even that. Are you officially an interpreter, or do you just do it for fun?

  • @SoldOut2Jesus1 Ya ASL is the grammar, Ppl use the term "ASL" interchangeably to mean sign language in general and to mean the grammar in contrast to PSE or SEE. I got into sign language as a foreign lang. in high school. I'm not an official interpreter but i'm working on getting my cert. As for right now, I do these songs for fun so that deaf ppl can experience music like we can. A deaf person isn't going to hear the gospel on accident, it has to be on purpose. So this is me being intentional!

  • @ktloveland Oh, okay. See, I always thought that ASL meant American Sign Language, as opposed to French or Spanish. (If they have it) So ASL actually includes the grammar, and sign language means doing the signs as they are said/sung in English?

That's so cool! =D I have a friend who's an interpreter. She often helps me out. (Which I need) I'm planning on taking it in high school as well, but I have picked up some signs from her, a deaf friend of mine, and some flashcards. And videos like yours

  • I am in asl and I love it I think it's something I would love to learn more. I'm only a junior in high school but I think it'd be amazing to actually know this stuff. Have you had good use for it?

  • @jissnicc Yes, I have good use for it. Meeting deaf people in public or even if you get a job interpreting, you can make a lot of money doing it!

  • @ktloveland Thats what my family is wanting me to do.... Its soo hard though to keep up with all the signs. like how one can mean one thing and then have something that looks the exact same way and mean a whole different thing. Do you have any tips or hints on remembering things like that??

  • @jissnicc it just takes practice. A lot of it has to do with context. Practice on fitting things into context.

  • @ktloveland Thats what i think would like to do.. But its soooo hard, when on thing looks like another and they mean the complete different. Do you have any tip's or hint's on how to remember things like that?

  • How come the different sign languages on this same song happens to be different. Check out the ...'it is well part' for any 2 versions you like.

Is the difference a kind of intonation variety or what...spare my curiosity if you can .

  • @real4real1960 I'm sry. I'm afraid I don't know what you are asking.

  • @real4real1960 No two demonstration for this same song are same why?

  • @real4real1960 b/c there isn't necessarily a wrg or right way to do it. In sign language, you don't interpret what it says, you interpret what it means. So someone else might find a different way to "interpret" or explain the same idea. Also there is the difference between "ASL" and "SEE" or "PSE"...these are all different grammar structures.

  • Great Job!

  • awesome video. i love this song and i am learning sign language. i really wish i was good enough to learn songs and do them at church :)

  • Just curious, how long have you been signing? Your facial expressions are wonderful.

  • @draw09nowsinglater I've been signing since 2004 (my freshmen year of high school) Thank you very much!

  • @ktloveland That's awesome. You're welecome. I'm just finishing up my associates degree in English/ Deaf Studies, So I have two more years left. Good luck to you.

  • You are my favorite signer on line - I love to watch you and I learn so much. Thank you for your ministry.

  • @Cable168 Thank you very much! God Bless!

  • wow your signing is good. If i hadn't read a few comments before i commented i would have thought you were Deaf. I grew up from the age of 9 years old watching my mom and the three of her friends signing at church for the Deaf. my mom and her three friends are hearing but they all have degrees in ASL and interpretation for the Deaf. I love signing with my friends and family and my little adopted Deaf cousin she is so adorable.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

  • Just beautifully done!

  • love love love this video :) one of my friends is deaf and i've wanted to learn how to speak sign language so badly so i can talk to him easier (he's mostly deaf so i can communicate somewhat) He's an atheist and it's been hard to witness to him. but i love this video. it's amazing. he needs to see it

  • I have watched a few of ur Christian related videos & I would like to say that you are inspirational! God has layed on my heart for high school to be in an ASL class. God has blessed me with this class. (:

    Thanks, brittyWheels2014 !

  • Awesome job! I am trying to teach myself ASL....Thanks for showing us your great talent! God Bless.

  • I am moved to tears! Holy Spirit shine through!! You have a gift to reach the deaf for His glory! May you be blessed for blessing others!

  • Thank you for the reply. I will keep watching and learning from you. I look forward to watching God turn this gift of yours into a mighty blessing for you, then it will trickle down to us. The God of love and peace will be with you...May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you, now and always. You are very appreciated. Cathy

  • I have spent a great deal of my afternoon watching your praise videos. What a joy and a gift. I would love to be able to buy a dvd that was filled with a collection of your signing videos. Thanks for making these.

  • @cathy4faith Thank you very much. I appreciate your support. Unfortunately this is just a hobby of mine (which i really haven't had time to give any attention to in a long long time bc i'm so busy) and I don't have any DVD's. I still have a lot to learn anyway. I'm not even certified yet. I'm still studying to take my certification test.

  • Aloha and thank you for all of your videos! Could you please sign "One Thing" by Hillsong and "Word of God Speak" by Mercy Me? Really appreciate it and looking forward to you blessing us again with your artistic God given gifts. Aloha from Hawaii!

  • Hi there! I'm deaf.. i stumbled across to your video. You did amazing!! :) i love this song, the choir actually sang this song last sunday! I assume you are hearing, but your signing is so flawless. I have some ASL videos of some songs, if you wanna check it out. Keep on signing! :)

  • @ne0nsparkle0 I wouldn't call my signing flawless. lol. I still have a lot to learn!!! but thank you I appreciate the comments from deaf people who actually understand what i'm doing. Thank you.

  • @ktloveland you welcome!!

  • Interesting interpretation of this song "I Will Rise" in ASL. I can see that you are passionate about this song. It will be an AMAZING moment when we join Him after we are called. Keep it up!

  • God bless you. You are amaizing, I love your videos. I also have a crush on you cause you are so handsome. Lol.

  • Just wanted you to know that your ministry is truly a blessing, not only to the deaf, but to us hearing folks! I starting signing for my church about 6 months ago and I love it....and they love it!! My favorite artist as of yet is Chris Tomlin! I have used some of your signs and I have a friend who ministered to the deaf who helps me better interpret. since I want to do it correctly. Have you heard of Aaron Shust? I did his song My Saviour My God. I think you would like it!

  • I've heard these songs so many times but when you know ASL and watch someone interpret it can bring a whole new meaning to the song. thank you :) My favorite part was the falling on your knees....you painted such a clear picture! AMEN!

  • you are so cool!!!!

  • Love it! Also loves ocdeaf4god suggestion, understand about the dorm just use some clothpins and a black sheet as your backdrop. Awesome.

  • Another #1.. Keep it up! Your A.S.L. is great!

    God Bless you!

    Sister in Christ,

    Irish/Canadian

  • wow! I love to appreciate ASL. I'd like to lear it, because, I use Brazilian Signs Language. I always watch your videos. I am an interpreter at church to my deafs people. God has been save them. God bless you!

  • I am deaf and I love ALL your videos but this is my favorite as before I lost my hearing it was my favorite worship song. Thank you so much for what you do. You can see the passion in your facial expression. Please keep up the awesome work.

  • you're an amazing person. you inspire me so much!

    keep up the videos

  • I really appreciate your videos. You give me help the Deaf appreciate these great song. Keep up the good work!

My only suggestion is to change the location you use for the video. A plain background would be a lot less distracting.

  • @ocdeaf4god Thank you I appreciate your support and your suggestion. Unfortunately, i'm a college student that lives in a dorm and doesn't have anywhere else to record songs. But I will keep that in mind when I move to my new apartment next year.

  • You have an amazing sense of rhythm when you are signing.. I was an interpreter many years ago (although my signing is a bit rusty these days) and also have a background in music and it is rare to see a person who signs songs that has a good grasp of sign language AND good rhythm. You do a great job!!!

  • @mtnmom62 thank you! i appreciate it!!

  • Thank you for sharing this. It is one of my favorite songs, and seeing you sign it so powerfully makes me appreciate the message in a whole new way!

  • Great job thanks for posting

  • this is awesome! definitely one of my absolute FAVORITE songs :)

  • Beautifully done!

  • I'm learning a little bit of sign becasue in school in one of my classes I have a deaf student and her EA is also deaf...after a trying day I like to just unwind and watch sign music....you are doing a great thing! Keep it up!

  • Wonderful! Buen travaja! That means "good job" in spanish!

  • Its actually spelled Buen Trabajo... but yes, it is magnificent isn't it?

  • Just amazing as always. Thank-you for sharing these videos. They are an inspiration for me. Hope you having a great week and God bless!

  • Excellent! A lot of feeling in your signing. :)
