  • I would tint the windows to protect the interrior from the uvc rays from the sun

  • That certainly is as George Thorogood and all his destroyers would say: "Bad to the bone" INDEED!

  • i am soooo jealous because i'll never have one.

  • @sobertson1 I used to have 1 but mine was a '57 some idiot pulled out infront of me and caused me to total it. I would of owned mine for 27 years this coming April 30th. The car was totaled in April 20, 1987. If I seen the other driver that night I would beat the crap out of her and I would not care if there was a cop standing there that night. I was angry enough to do it. When the other partys insurance company totaled the car I should of mentioned the word attorney and they hate that word.

  • @sb57fury1 didn't you have the option of buying back the car even if the insurance company totaled it?

  • @scatpack68 Yes but I had no place to keep it. The city of Palm Bay,Florida code enforcement probably would of harassed me about it. I still wished I mentioned the word Attorney to thier insurance adjuster.

  • great video and great car

  • I really enjoy watching these old Classics being revamped . exspecially when they are done correctly - frame off - this is a very beautiful car ! , Well Done . Ray in PA

  • The car looks good from any angle!

  • at 4:38 WAS THAT YOUR CAR?I mean dont u have problems with the tint cops pulling u over because of ?

  • @cyrusthevrus That is 1 of the survivors from the movie Christine.

  • @sb57fury1 yes but it has black tint all over the place,in some countrys ( like mines ) thats illegal.

  • Buddy Repperton Disliked this

  • Great Job!!!

  • job well done...respect!

  • Really worth my time watching this. Actually was looking for Harlem Nocturne, the second song on the video. What a car.....a work of art. Congratulations.

  • whats the name of the song after bad to the bone?

  • very nice!!!! magniffisin!

  • Hey Arnie. Where did you get that matching paint?

  • its so awesome - although the skull on the bonnet is missing!

  • I was in a shop in Camrose Alberta Canada about 3 years ago. The guy has a couple of 57 or 58's all restored and in perfect shape. One is even a convertible and he has it up on a hoist above the other one. I would give up both of the family jewels for either of them.

  • Very nice

  • Really nice, and you did all the work yourself, how very satisfying that must be. I had a chance to get one that had already had allot of work done to the body for 5K but didn't have the chips at the time : ( Don't listen to some of these people on here, as they know not what they are talking about. The Christine version of the Fury in RED is way cool, I don't care who you are!

  • Awsome

  • i want this car so freakin bad! if anyone knows a place to get it, write to me.

  • omg love that car im gonna own one before i die

  • It looked better at the beginning.

  • well done dude.

  • Olá !Parabéns pelo trabalho impecavel no seu carro.Com vocês conseguem fazer tudo esse detalhes, existe lojas de peças para reposição desse carros classicos...Valeu amigo!Novamente parabéns.

    Abraço

  • I would like to see the faces of the staff when you pull into a Chrysler Plymouth dealer for an oil change! It happened when my uncle had taken his 1958 Ford Edsel to the Ford dealer in 1995. THe older machanics flocked to her! Original red paint, restored interior! They called other locations for information! lol Not sure if that was a wise decision but the staff at the ford dealer was happy to have that car there!

  • Even the license plates are sweet. I saw the yellow CQB 241 from the movie, and it looks like a vanity plate that read "Rock N'Roll Will Never Die" just like in the book. The 58 Evil plate is great too. Gorgeous car man, you did a great job. Absolutely stunning. Makes me wanna watch the movie now.

  • NICE DUDE

  • Not bad Christine clone dual quads

  • Cool Beans!

  • It looks like there is a mouse sitting on the back of the car at 2:42

  • In the book, she was a "special order 4 door Fury" which never existed in real life. Fury's were beige with gold insert trim on the sides. Belvederes were one model down. The base model was the Savoy.

  • @mocus1 not to be rude but the base model was the plaza then savoy, belveder, and fury

  • @mocus1 dude the car in the book didnt even exist yet he said it was a 55 plymouth furry which they didnt start till i think 57

  • @anarexic2 Fury started in 56

  • @mocus1 You're both wrong on different points. The Fury was available in Autumn Red with Ivory side stripes. If you have an original dealer's manual for the car you can see the color is offered. The car in the book was a four door Belvedere or a Savoy (both had pushbutton transmission offered. Sk mentions the 382 cid but never says Christine had it. Likely a 318. Plymouth also offered two lower end models, the Savoy and lastly the Plaza (three speed column shift with Overdrive pull cable).

  • Plymouth also offered the 350 Golden Commando with either 2 foul barrel carbs or fuel injection. The fuel injection was problematic and most people had the dealer re-install x2 four barrel carbs. I know of no existing 1958 Plymouth with the original fuel injection manifold in place. The Fury was usually offered in Beige with a grey interior. Oddly enough on the back of the Christine hardcover book, SK is sitting on the hood of a 1957 Plymouth Savoy. You can tell because of the grill

  • I should say more accurately the portion under the grill in the isn't painted. It's left in bare metal in the 57 model whereas the 58's is painted.

  • @drevildruid that's called the front valance

  • @anarexic2 no, king described it as a red and white four door 58 fury. He was wrong about the color, because furys only came in buckskin beige, and they also only came in 2 door. 4 doors didn't come out uuntil '59.

  • @mocus1 Artistic liscense. You know the drill.

  • Pardon my ignorance (I'm Australian, and it's rare to see any Plymouth in Australia) but other than a wilder engine, what's the specific differences between a Fury and a Belvedere? In the book, Christine was a 4-door Belvedere (check that, it's in print) but in the movie, she's a 2 door Fury.

  • -My friend,i always said to myself that if i get the Lotto jackpot, the first thing on my list woul'd be at your house next day, shaking cash at your face.

  • nice! i love the feeling of seeing an old abandoned car get a second chance at life. dont let christine take over you!

  • I wish i had a dollar for every time you had said a line from the movie when you were building that car. Looks like you got good hands.

  • very good lookn car

  • Awesome job....

  • Great restoration job!

  • 318 Polyhead V-8 2 x 4 bbl carbs 290 hp "Dual Fury" engine option

    2 spd. Powerflite Automatic transmission

  • what engine did you put there?

    very nice work, congratulations

  • pink does have it's advantages

  • i liked it pink lol

  • Great video from clunker to show car.

I can only imagine how many hours you have in this car.

  • or, you can simply stand in front of the car with the headlights on and say, "OK, show me!"

  • be proud

    be very proud

you have one of the most beatiful car's in the world ..

  • beautiful car my man! a true classic!

  • 4:58 Sweet Jesus!

  • Yea, I love the fury, Ive always wanted to find one, make a christine and cruise town and see how many people I'd scare.

  • $300! Make it $250 for you!

  • ok so just 1 question HOW MUCH DID IT ALL COST?!?!!?

  • Thank you, very informative man! Wow its amazing, she really won that many awards?

  • shit son nice car

  • Lovely car.keep it rolling son.

  • wow that is awesome nice car..... thats one thing thats nice about old cars the metal is solid and just surface rusts instead having holes in it like these new cars we have today that are junk and everyone knows it thats why i see more and more people buying old cars again in ny state lol.....

  • don't crush 'em....restore 'em!!!!!

  • yeah! i agree! great clip - great car

  • words to live by.

  • @smashupdriver It takes ALOT of money to restore junkyard finds,, unless ur a mechanic and painter and uphosterer , One, machanics charge an arm and a leg to fix anything, then ur looking at atleast a grand for the paint job, and then the interior will not be cheap,,let alone all of the welding that the undercarriage would need after sitting on the ground for 30 years!

  • @Dreambro1 a grand for a paint job?? hes not getting anywhere near my 58, materials alone will be close to a grand not including prep work and wet sanding and polishing afterwards.

  • Ooo La La! That is how it is done! Just outstanding. I have restored three rods, but nothing like this-just sweet!

  • yep great job man well done

  • Undercover, girls like that are VERY hard to find !

  • i want that car to be my very first car... and with it being 51 years old i know its gonna be hard to find :(

  • Love her -super restaurated fury!!!

    arnie cunningham

  • wow!!! nice job,i like 1:42 view! brand new congratulations.

  • >>> Shame 57 or 58 Furys never came out of the factory in RED !

    >>> Sad huh ?

  • In the book it's revealed that Christine was a custom-made car.

  • @apatheticempathy

i dont know they were the top of the line luxury cars for plymouth i dont think id want my fury in red biege with the gold iondized chrome would be nice evidentley cus thats what they all were!

when i grow up im going to make a real fury clone as seeing i'll probly pay out the...... to find a real fury someone would like to sell

  • It proves to show that detriot really had some great designs for auto's during the 50's.

And I must say that is a awesome restoration!!!!! Great Job

  • Wow men !!!, an amazing job !!

Congratulations, your car is the most beautiful of the world...

    I hate you....hahaha :P

    Greetings from Argentina !!.

  • Hail to the chef !

  • under a 4 leaf clover...

  • Damn, how many seperate Plymouths was that that ya saved from the crusher and were able to restore?

Great looking car, you're extremely talented.

  • That's a movie plate for the shows....California requires a front matching plate, which I install while driving on roads.....no problem ladies!

  • VERY talented. Great job!

  • someone would tell my how this works in the US? How in the world can a lot of cars get the same number plate? Just here on youtube I saw prox 20 different Christines running in traffic with the same CQB 2** plate... Guess there are about 50-100 or maybe more of them running on the roads in the US.. so there have to be others too with the same number plate..

  • its the front plate....most states dont require you have one...so you can put on whatever you want.

  • that nice :) but it can fool the police when they are measuring traffic speeds (traffipax).. here in Hungary they would take your cars documents for life if you would use different plates on the front and back :D they would even take them if your front plate is missing :)

  • They knew how to design them and build them in the 50's

  • Where did you find the bumper wings and the air cleaners?

  • A true work of art, your hard work and effort has paid off big time! Thanks for the video, might get a few procrastinators off the couch to finish their projects! Drive safe, and remember...."If you care to drive, drive with care." -Chief Dan Mathews

  • Now that was beautiful a classic car restored to its better than its former glory!

  • awesome job man! my dream car!! The "Christine" style IS BAD TO THE BONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The car won a lot of trophies......it won "People's Choice Award" at the Hot August Nites show in Reno NV in 1995......

  • WHOA! Your car won that many trophies? Aw man that's awesome! Yes Please don't sell this to hollywood. When you get too old, donate it to a famous well takencare of car museum! It will be cherished for generations to come! (what awards were the trophies?)

  • Nice job! getting all the parts you needed must've been a special kind of hell... from what I understand the 57-58's are pretty neglected by the aftermarket & reproduction market.

  • The baddest, meanest, most evil machine ever produced by human hands! Never to be topped, only to be bought by Satan himself.

  • I couldn't have said it better!
