  • what's the first song called? D:::

  • They're amazing.

  • LMAO. What the grandpa says is totally irrelevent. Hilarious.

  • TOM HOBDEN WHY ARE YOU SO PERFECT

  • @xCroB93x can't agree at all. Charlie's great!

  • @xCroB93x To each his own, buddy.

  • @xCroB93x So easy to dismiss Charlies voice - but as soon as he croaks out that one lyric, with the feel of sheer heartbreak, so candid that it rips into your very soul, it's there to stay forever. And there it will fester, going deeper than the most perfect soprano.

For me, Charlie Finks voice is now synonymous with all my bittersweet emotions in love - as is Tom Hobdens unreal violin skills!

  • Please help Vincent Moon finish four films at ATP: h t t p : / / k c k . s t / r d T I r 8

  • GAAAAAAA I LOVE TOM HOBDEN

  • that girl in the back is soooooooooo gorgeous *___*

  • I love how at about 2:06 "And although this boat is steady now..." the cameraman reminds us we're riding on a big vessel in the sky. Beautiful.

  • what kind of guitar is charlie using?

  • @LostMyCannon

That is Vincent Moon. He is probably holding them for the band members. He directed most of the Take Away Shows.

  • Charlie, I would mend your broken heart if I could, because you have brought so much light to mine.

  • I suddenly LOVE public transportation! wooooot woot

  • I have been in the UK for a month and have been searching for Charlie about 75% of the time (mostly in my dreemz)

  • The smile he cracks as he sings "and your skirts fall below your knees" is totally directed towards that girl jamming in the corner. Just such a precious moment.

  • @helllloimlindsay

    Their drummer.

  • When I went on that metro there was a man with gold teeth playing a violin with a trumpet taped to it.

I know which I'd prefer. (It's them, by the way).

  • What guitar is the lead singer using anyone?

  • @Doorknob266 Gibson J200

  • Super Stoned Noah And The Wales!!!

  • Holy fuck that violin is sex

  • i wish i had been in that metro...

  • The guys voice is almost insufferable lol. I really liked the music though.

  • rocks and daggers reminds me of the berenstein bears

  • 7: 46 the man is saying : "et moi je suis là, regardez moi comme je suis beau, je suis très beau, je suis très beau, hé oui monsieur, regardez moi je suis très très très très beau!" :D

  • I'd like to listen to them when I gotta be unlucky in love, sitting seats downcast, blinded by lonesome, almost going to be unsociable again. then I'd look up and mesmerized and blown by mute strokes, then spill more teardrops than it.

  • what was the guy at 7:46 saying to them?...

  • it fills me with joy when i see people who seem to love performing their music as much as these guys. if only more bands these days were like them

  • immm sorry sir replay button for i have raped you so many times i have lost count....

  • does anyone know the name of this song? its amazing

  • @MyBabyToto and the 2nd song is "mary"

  • does anyone know the name of this song? its amazing

  • @MyBabyToto rocks and daggers :P

  • He's got such a beautiful face.

  • : )

  • i love how that random old guy showed up and just started singing with them, and how they were so chill with it.

  • 8:14 '' let's get the f*** away from this crazy old man. speed it up!'' hahahahaha X{D

  • Do you have to have some sort of permission to do this on a train or can you just do it?

  • @smarthopewell Maybe in American cities. In Europe a cop would probably stick around to watch for a bit and then tell you to stop if they notice people getting unhappy. A lot more laid back to stuff like this.

  • @smarthopewell Actually in France it's pretty common to see a musician come and play in the underground. Well, not exactly common but it happens. Besides, why would they interfere if they're not bothering anyone? I think that would be more strange than playing in odd places... But maybe that's just an European thing.

  • @smarthopewell

what's not forbiden is authorized you know ^^

As far as I know, as a band you need a special licence to play in the metro. But I think they don't care in lablogotheque ^^

  • The old man is "singing" :

"Look at me , I"m very beautiful, me too i'm beautiful".. xD

  • @sshelto16 Yeah, fiddles are very cool. Although technically it's a different thing from a violin - fiddles don't play classical music etc, though it's the same instrument.

  • They're just too cool! Folking out on a fiddle on the subway. My favourite band, ever.

  • @EilidhThePidgeon word. and thank you for using the term "fiddle".. Being in southeastern U.S., I get made fun of by other regions by using it interchangeably with violin.

  • THAT OLD MAN IS MY HERO

  • I like how the drumbeat is almost exactly like train tracks.

  • this is how i know that some things are still right in the world

  • what is the second song they play?

  • @stancheckastani3 "Mary"

  • Je ne tai ame plus?

  • i wanna know wtf that old man was on...

  • I hate people who write thumbs up if you agree.

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!

  • @TheCortexTube i really want to. because i totally agree. haha its like protesting picket lines

  • I love these. they're shot and edited together amazingly

  • How can you ever be sad again after watching this?

  • imagine if you wake up late, your late to work, your boss yells at you, a lady spills her drink on you, you get on the train and Noah and the Whale are jammin away.....what a great day

  • the drummer <3.

    all of them <3.

  • the videography taken when they're walking after the train ride is so fucken beautiful

  • there need to be people doing this all around the world all the time forever and ever until the last day of time comes.

  • Favorited

  • god damn that violinist is dead sexy

  • I love the singer/guitarist's (I am assuming this is Charlie Fink since he looks like Emma Watson) face after the violin solo at 4:38. He is so happy with his band mate for such a great solo.

  • Bloody Jesus... were I one of the persons in the train...

HEY NOAH! HEY, Noah and the Whale!! You should have done this in BRAGA, PORTUGAL!

  • i love these boys, made my day<3

  • Charlie Fink is like the male version of Emma Watson 8:06

  • i bet a girls mind would be like....ooooo charlie fink is so dreamy. lol

  • What's the second soong called?

  • @MegamaRay It's called Mary (there are two different versions of that song, i like the newer one best- its more upbeat)

  • Comment removed

  • I love the almost sarcastic singing style he has going on, brilliant.

  • does anybody know the titles of the two songs they play?

  • @martinfox1992 rocks and daggers and mary

  • @martinfox1992 The first one is called Rocks and Daggers, and the second one is called Mary

  • EVERYONE PLEAE PAUSE THIS VIDEO AT 3:30 OR 3:31 AND LOOK AT HEADBAND GUY'S FACE!!! omg, priceless, like taking a poop and hemorrhoids at the same time. ahh...this take away show is really not up to par with some of the others....but that guys face made it so worth it.

  • oooh loving the strings

  • so NICE(the guy)

and the music is so great

  • if they had been on the subway in manhattan, they wouldve fallen with all the sudden stops haha

  • rock n roll

  • i love that girl D:

  • singer looks like andy samberg haha

  • how many of you think that the OLD GUY singing was a setup??? it came together great though!

  • and although this boat is steady now, a wave could pull me under and ill be stranded out at sea. so true..

  • i love it how they keep playing towards the end when the OLD guy comes around singing in synch with the band.. and how the band treats him nicely.

  • someone mentioned that this version is so much better than in their album.

I believe that!! but, I wonder WHY bands, DONT record their BEST version of songs

on their albums. It takes A Take Away Show to record their best version. I WONDER WHY???

  • By far my favourite take away show.... AMMMAZING.

  • yeah yeah yeah. like yeah yeah.

  • what song is this ?????????

  • @frankie87878787 oh gosh ima idiot. it in the end duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn LaBlogotheque!! I keep finding incredibly beautiful new music acts on this channel - and now I have to set aside money so I can buy a tiny xylophone, and a violin, and an accordion, and a marching band bass drum... that's a lotta fuckin' money LaBlogotheque!! Arrrghhh!! Nah, thanks for doing what you do, bringing amazing music to the masses - I hope you are some how making a living off of this work - and thanks for expanding my music-listening horizons...

  • damn...i like how they're independent and playing in the subway live...wonder if there was someone who recognized them...(doubt :D )...one of my fav bands !!!

  • all i can think about when i watch this is how good everyone's day was after they rode in that cart. and i dig the lady just groovin' out in the corner.

  • wish i was there in Paris!

  • la blogotheque is amaaazing

  • This is my favourite of the three episodes!

I really love the train performance... and the way it's filmed cos it's a high energy performance and it's like we're right in the middle of the action!

  • could be a music video of Ok Go :D

  • imagine witnessing this

  • flipping fantastic.

  • Can't help but feel that the whole indie scene is somehow beholden to Old Irish folk music. Inspiring and nostalgic at the same time. Good shit, says the American fuck.

  • @llamavszombie well id hope so shes in the band man.
