The bible like ALL writings, does hold some truth - but it is scattered about into incoherent rambellings of old men. You are better off quantizing the nature of the universe on your own than trying to find it in that book.

The contradictions you bring up are valid, and they arose because the books of the pentateuch had at least 4 authors dubbed J, P, E and D. Genesis is a compilation of writings from J and P. You'll notice that in some of the passages God is more anthropomorphic, those are J sources. There are other verses where God is transcendent; a force of nature, these are P sources. Check out the "documentary hypothesis" if you want to know more.
Kudos there is so much evidence in the bible itself that the thing is a load of crap, and all these people "loosely follow" its ideology as if its truth. Now this God is suppossodly all loving(though at the same time is all jealous, lolz), in an all loving, all powerfull creators creation there should be no evil(ie all-loving), but it is evidently apparant that in this world there are what are traditionally defined as 'evils', contradicting the omni-loving claim..........
Now how did the problem of evil arise in an all-loving creators creation? many Christians profess that God enabled man with a free-will, to enable him to turn to God of his own volition, it is mans free-will, used proudly and spitefully that leads to the problem of evil, and the omni-omni could not have created a universe in which man is free and there is no problem of evil(contradicting his omni-omni nature, if all powerfull could he not have created a different universal logic system?)......

One thing occurred to me while listening to this. Another consequence of the "God" character asking the question "Where are you?" is that it makes him a deciever. (If he truely is omiscient/Omnipresent)
So for example in the proofs from descartes if he is a deciever then a lot of the assumptions there fall down...

Pantheist? At the base all the Pantheist worldview is that nature itself is God. All they are using the label God in a place where it has no real practical use. What's there to mock and why bother?

Jesus was a jew. Jesus saw his ministry as only to his fellow jews. It was Paul, who was not one of Jesus;s disciples who had the great idea to open the religion up to the gentiles. He did this because a large portion of the jewish population rejected Jesus and this new religion called christianity so Paul (ever the entrepreneur) decided to bring non-jews into christianity.

Abraham is another man that supposedly saw the face of the god character as well. Not only did Abraham feed this god and the two angels with it, but also had a lengthy conversation with afterward when it(the god) sent the same two angels on to Sodom and Gomorrah to verify(because it obviously does not know everything) what it heard Gen 18:1-33.

One thing occurred to me while listening to this. Another consequence of the "God" character asking the question "Where are you?" is that it makes him a deciever. (If he truely is omiscient/Omnipresent)
So for example in the proofs from descartes if he is a deciever then a lot of the assumptions there fall down...
