I have a question, did the ball drop or not?

I did not see it on the videos, and cant find it actually dropping. whats up with that!! Please respond and give a link if you see one with the ball actually dropping?

it slides down a pole, and it drops slowly.

I remember seing this on Channel 7 with Dick Clark. This is one of my favorite times of the year, no school, Christmas joys and a brand new year. Then again, summer is my birthday, but I still love both times of the year!!!
