I personally liked Emil's first guesses at Ratatosk's name. He butchered it once by saying "Ratatask" and "Ratattack" :)

Well technically in Norse mythology, Ratatsk is a squirrel that patrols the giant tree of the world Yggdrasil or something. I LOVE MYTHOLOGY!

Heh, I think Yggdrasil is the name of the final boss in ToS (not before he became Mithos), and is also the name of the new world tree :)

Though it is never revealed what Lloyd named it at the end of the first game, it is assumed he named it Yggdrasill after Mithos Yggdrasil. In Tales of Phantasia, which takes place thousands of years after Symphonia, there is a giant tree named Yggdrasill. This also fits with Norse mythology, where Yggdrasil is the world tree.

not only that might be a reason to call the tree like that but look into norn mythology and you will find the legendary tree yggdrasil somewhere

This fight would of made a lot more sense if you were Lloyd and Marta against Emil. Instead they keep the rule of having Emil always in your main party no matter what here. But hey, this isn't a main title game so I can't expect everything I want.

Actually, I liked how they made the player play as Emil. It really makes you think and question your morals. That kind of conflict is what makes it exciting ^^

I know, but then you didn't know that you were just pretending to attack them as Ratatosk. All for the same purpose to hopefully have yourself die, it was kinda cruel that they deliberately set this up like that. I first thought it was like, "Oh I'm Ratatosk, if I win I rule world", yet in the end Emil just took his acting too far before killing himself. It's just somewhat cruel.

So now we know why he wanted Colette's Cruxis Crystal, he actually had a plan to prevent the demon's from getting while defeating Ratatosk. So were all those sidequests with Richter related to getting the sacred stone?
