Du skal have fat i en meget mindre turbo, som motoren kan spoole op, denne er for stor. Derefter skal du have en pumpe til at lave olietryk til turboen, medmindre det er en kuglelejerturbo du får fat i. Og så skal du have en turbokarburator, evt. fra en gammel volvo, dyset om så den passer til motoren, naturligvis. Manifold osv skal der jo også laves.

i agree with both mulletstang and MistaB0vine because it is a supercharger, but it's a different type of supercharger. regularly a supercharger works at lower rpms for quick acceleration and some sick burnout capabilities, when a turbocharger starts to work at higher rpms

allowing a greater speed but not as much acceleration as a normal supercharger.

heh, alrighty, well how about this.... US patent 6450156 is for a "turbine supercharger" it is a exhaust gas powered turbine air compressor for internal combustion engines. Turbine supercharger is what originally gave turbocharger its name. Turbocharger is the short for turbine supercharger. There are a number of other patents related to it as well.

You are right. Anything that boosts the manifold pressure to 0 psi vacuum is known as turbo normalizing. Anything that becomes a positive pressure is known as supercharging. So, if you are running a vacuum gauge in this case, you will notice that your manifold pressure goes to the high side of 0, therefore becoming boost.

As per wikipedia... a supercharger can be belt, gear, chain, or exhaust gas powered. A exhaust turbine powered supercharger is ALSO known as a turbocharger. So every turbo is technically a supercharger.... granted the automotive community likes to differentiate them.

That is a turbo charger not a supercharger . On a safer note: If your going to turn the rpm's up, you should get a billet flywheel, because those cast iron ones will explode. Please don't learn this the hard way. Still a cool video!

But turbochargers and superchargers are two completely different principles....superchargers being belt driven, turbochargers being exhaust gas driven....You are correct in the fact that they a both a form of forced induction.....so refer to it simply as "boosted" or being forced induction.

I took an old 12vDC air conditioning blower motor out of a towncar and ducted it directly to my intake. Extremely simple design =] and you can make yours fast, it's mostly in the pulleys. plus you can bypass the governor to get a higher rpm to get those drag like take offs

Hey! We took and old turbocharger from a diesel volkswagen, and my friend made a stainless pipe, because he is a blacksmith. Then we took a pumpe from and old Audi, so we could get some oil-pressure. Then we made "racing" fuel tank, with some tape, and a pint of beer as the spare part/tool box. We Use a battery from a Scania Truck(massive!!) to start it up.
