As a former Mormon, I can tell you that Mormon's don't hate homosexuals/lesbians. They just thinks it is of the devil. Though I am not gay, I left the Church partly because of the ignorance of it's members. Though I'm not for gay marriage, I don't think it should be something the government should decide.

just to clear this up, the lds church is not the only ones against gay marriage. most religions are in sync on this issue. just because the lds church took a stand by voicing their opinions like these people are doing in their protest doesn't mean they are the cause for the proposition to pass. the people voted and the people chose. sorry it didn't work out but everyone has the right to vote. and everyone has the right to voice their opinion no matter what. whether it's "right" or not.

I am a Mormon and am Gay! I don't hate my church nor she we hate those who oppose us but I thank the makers of this video and those who marched in support of Gay Rights. First, Salt Lake City has quite a sizable gay population that has hitherto been largely silent in politics. Apparently, the church expected their apathy to continue.

Second, religion affects all aspects of American democracy - this is undeniable. Prop 8 was hashed together from impulses driven by religion. This is the reason for their statement.

More, more, more. Here in LA the protests have been large and quite the experience. It is nice to see other states joining in, especially Utah. It must be difficult to live there and be gay. I don't envy you at all, but more power to you. Please keep up the great work, you have support in LA.
