I have two feral cats. Someone brought them into the neighborhood. They were spayed and neutered, but they didn't take to the person's yard who brought them in. So I ended up with them whether I liked it or not, hehe. They are wonderful cats. They still won't let you pet them, but they have gotten to where they'll let me sit near them. I feed them everyday and give them shelter. They're doing really good. Janet

Thank you dear friend Dan for your beautiful song of this sad slideshow, people who abandon their pets should be severely punished by a prison sentence, all the world's governments should not treat pets (dogs and cats) as objects we take and chips when we need it most, these people must pay !
I hope there will be plenty of pet adoption in 2011, and there will be fewer abandoned pets !

Good God Dan! Why are you not famous for the wonderful songs you write. I think the Humane Society would love to hear this and use it in their ads. I have investigated a fire in the Seattle Humane society building seen in the opening scenes. As an owner of three dogs and numerous ferrel cats I ama definite died in the wool animal lover. This really speaks to my heart. Hope it inspires someone to do the right thing and take in a homeless dog/cat.

I think they could use it as their next public service announcement. Spent some part of the holidays with a beautiful German Sheppard that was a rescue dog. A little skittish, but what a darling. Great song Dan... I mean really great! There is not enough awareness when it comes to these little souls locked up for merely being alive without a human. No crime committed but prisoners none the less. I'll never forget when I went to rescue one... the chamber was visible and apparently they suck the air out until the dog not picked suffocates and dies. The bastard picked the dog up by the scruff of the neck and threw him in. I'm still sick after all these years thinking about it.

It is always so heartwrenching to walk thru the shelters and looking into all those big brown eyes looking back at you with pleading anticipation. As I watch this, "Levi" is curled up in the armchair next to me, "Emma" is chewing up a toy on the floor, " Molly" and "Evie" are in the kitchen observing my wife at the stove and "Mandy" the cat is who knows where. Hopefully this song will encourage someone to bring a little love into their home. Peace!!! Tom

We have a T.V. as running here at the present which takes place in a dog shelter and says, 'It pays to advertise'. A clever little mongrel makes its own visual presentation at the end of which it is sitting there with a packed suitcase at its side.

I worked in an animal hospital for a few years when I was in my late teens early twenties.
And it always (still) broke my heart when people would abandon animals there.
I ended up with more than a few Kitties back then!! What an incredible song Dan. You have one gigantic heart my friend!!

Dan.... Suze posted this on her facebook, I had a listen, and came by to tell ya, we just lost our family dog of 14 years and Gidget was from the pound, she was hands down the best dog I`ve ever owned... Great song bro!! & somebody threw a bucket a water at me while I was listenin :O)

Great song Dan... I mean really great! There is not enough awareness when it comes to these little souls locked up for merely being alive without a human. No crime committed but prisoners none the less. I'll never forget when I went to rescue one... the chamber was visible and apparently they suck the air out until the dog not picked suffocates and dies. The bastard picked the dog up by the scruff of the neck and threw him in. I'm still sick after all these years thinking about it.

oohohh oh..i cannot stress how truly great this is! i didnt have enough room to say it all, and sometimes i cant find the right words..ur pictures all lined up absolutley perfect with ur lyrics, and the story u told just had me in absolute tears, and that ending and goodnite maggie, goodnight rex....tomorow.....so very touching..i dont know how u do this so easy...so perfect..always see the story u tell! really loved this lil stinker! hugs!

oooooooooh i am loving this dan!! and i had to pause it cus i was already going back and forth between how sadly beautiful and smiling...when u did the bark bark bark, and a lil chuckle, but before u even chuckled, i let out the hugest loudest laugh cus that was so cute "bark bark bark"and those sad puppy eyes &molly meowing in background and those words of yours and that sound of yours...oooooooooh how beautiful..so sad though!oooh tearss!! u told/sang/wrote/played this so great!

It is always so heartwrenching to walk thru the shelters and looking into all those big brown eyes looking back at you with pleading anticipation. As I watch this, "Levi" is curled up in the armchair next to me, "Emma" is chewing up a toy on the floor, " Molly" and "Evie" are in the kitchen observing my wife at the stove and "Mandy" the cat is who knows where. Hopefully this song will encourage someone to bring a little love into their home. Peace!!! Tom

Oh, Dan that was amazing. This should be given coverage on television for shelter dogs. Those words and that tune are heart-catching.
We have a T.V. as running here at the present which takes place in a dog shelter and says, 'It pays to advertise'. A clever little mongrel makes its own visual presentation at the end of which it is sitting there with a packed suitcase at its side.
