  • they are under powered for the highway i should know i own one but ooooww so perfect to eat bugs with.also the sprung seat if set up correct will not be a problem also let some psi out the rear tire but not too much and tell the ney sayers to put a ice pack on that vagina

  • @doddiem yea it was a fun bike...im more of a harley guy...but i had a blast building and riding it the two summers i owned it.

  • what kind of exhaust is that? i love the sound. if its custom, is there any way to buy one just like it? and where can i get one?

    Thanks, and awesome bike

  • @jimbob394 i took the stock exhaust and cut them up and we welded them back together. custom made and it was pretty easy too

  • @ReconHHC the black is the factory Harley Davidson off the tank and the red is a 98 cent can of primer from walmart. turned out exactly how I wanted it...thanks

  • I want that bike.

  • nice sound. but the forward controls look out of your reach.

  • @topengstudios @ :04 and :25 it looks like he reaches just fine. A lot of guys hang their feet sideways on forwards when they cruise.

  • @topengstudios there not my feet were sitting on the front side of them not out of reach at all

  • Perfect stance and sound.

  • I sold my xs650 bobber and I miss it as well

  • For all you master-debators - he's riding a cool bike, thats all that matters

  • i like homebuilt rigid chops, made from whatever kind of motor you can get, better than H-D, all day long.

  • @wanderer1031 yeah but a harley you can drive your whole life.....

  • @BakedSpacecow Maybe. but....look how many SOHC hondas from the 70's are still around, and how many old xs 650's are still running around. and, if you got skills you can build about 15 or 16 bikes with "off brand" motors for the price of one harley. furthermore, i've never seen a stock harley that didn't need at least $2000 worth of parts removed. furthermore, older harleys like shovels and ironheads need constant maintainance and still run pretty slow (i've got an ironhead).

  • @wanderer1031 furthermore, newer harleys have these goofball fuel injectors and ECM crap. i won't ride one for my life. furthermore, twin cams pistons and cranks and made by yamaha. furthermore i love harleys but i'm not going to let not being able to afford one keep me from riding. it is much more important to get your face in the wind and smashed with bugs, then it is to buy instant respect with a name brand P.O.S. Metal is metal. Don't believe the hype. helmet laws still suck.

  • @wanderer1031 totaly agree with that ... :)

and yes helmet laws suck but only for choppers... after the 130mph mark u can't see anything on a sportbike without a helmet :P

  • @wanderer1031 yeah but in US the old harley are also cheap as hell, in my opinion the old hondas are kinda crappy... and if you change the motor then you need to get the papers for everything (europe).

For me it's cheaper to buy an old US Harley with original motor... (switzerland)

  • Nice xs650

  • Looks good. I like it.

  • Nice vid. Great camera work too. Love the bike!

  • thanks for the comments...i sold the bike this summer and now some kid in ohio has it. It was fast and nimble for a 650 but it wasn't a total powerhouse...i definitely miss this bike.

  • Amazing. Can't wait for me to get a real bike.

  • so much beauty man! really nice!

  • how much power does it have?

  • while the bars don't do it for me, overall it's a great lookin' bike, and i dig the hell out of the XS, i ride an '81 myself. cheers!

  • how is the xs on the highway?
