I do agree with you there, charger is a beast of a car, they have loads of power but if you put a little work into a CRX, even a asperated one, it should be able to kill on track, muscle is nice for straight line but it just cant handle.

Odd. I drove a CRX-Si for 16 years,260k miles... the limiter hit at 7200, indicated redline at 6500, torque peak at 5k. So, why mash the car into the rev limiter when your acceleration is reduced after the torque peak and also beats hell out of the motor, unless you like the repair bills? ;)

Audi's R10 LMP car has a gob of torque and its drivers feel that diesel motor is superior to the R8R's by far because of its torque. Generally, it's a waste to shift after the torque peak, and again, it beats the hell out of the engine. Why do it to your car unless you like large repair bills or you're going to sell the car to some unsuspecting kid?
