@jakemorris0173 Just drag your picture into modo in the (model quad) (front view) and left or right is the (side view) of what ever picture you are trying to model hope that helped.
This is good from someone with experience, but for someone new like me, all I hear is "Bring this down, and this over a bit. Touch that there with this, cut this and paste that". It's nice, but all those little shortcuts and tools you use are the things we need to know.
Thanks for this tutorial. Although I use blender, it is helping a lot with my problems with cartoonish styles. Just as a question, do you purposefully draw out things with grid-like patterns to kinda get a feel of where mesh topology is or no?
yes, compared to the final result IT IS LOW POLY. After freezing and sub dividing before render the poly count will more than triple. Go to the store and buy a clue dude.
@AppleSoldier You should always start with a 6 face, 12 triangle box for low poly character modeling. you have three times that much, for a shoe. Which is far too many for a low poly character; a real good low poly character can be done with less than 300 triangles.
I was wondering the same thing, don`t know how he did it but if you drag and drop the images in the front square and right square, you will have the same result.
Come on! It's an intermediate tutorial! If you don't know how to put reference images, search a tutorial explaining it!
Thanks for the video! It helps me a lot!
PD: I'm sorry about my poor English!

Do you use a lot of polygons to create a simple shoe, uh? Do you really understand what means "Low Poly Character"?
