the auto genisis is beating alot of cars new cars with stick shift the auto is not garbage it even has padel shifters. but i agree the genisis with the stick is the way to go

Hmm I find the first quarter not so long ago. Also, if anything they're stock is not doubling because of their sports branch. Mustang sales have been down except for four months this year, but that was so long ago too and that doesnt matter either. The govt stepped in because they were all in debt. Also, ford had a 26 billion dollar debt at the end of 2008 and recorded another 1.8 billion at the end of april this year. Hence, ford is not well. They are still in debt as i said.

Well considering they just remodeled the fusion to make it awesome, the taurus and added the taurus sho, redesigned lincolns, the ford fiesta and ford focus are coming over, they are coming out with i4 ecoboost engines, a new 5 liter v8, and the lincoln mkt. So I would say that that is a lot of new stuff coming out within a couple of years wouldnt you?
Yes I have seen them. The taurus's interior is as good and better than the genesis's. just check some reviews. Great interior part quality is what they all say. And the current focus may not be your taste, but the euro focus that will be here soon is good. Also how is the 3.5l duratec v6 a shitty cheap engine? It is as good as toyota's and honda's. Have you test driven both cars? I test drove both Genesis and the new Taurus fully loaded. You don't know what you're talking about. Taurus costs more, and it isn't even in the Genesis class. Trust me. Taurus belongs in the group of Accord, Camry and Sonata.
Taurus SHO is heavy clunker that can only go fast straight. When you turn, you will feel all the 4000+ pounds of weight. It's a typical shitty American car with shitty loud engine with no turning capabilities.
The base price of a genesis is $37,250 for the 4.6 which weighs 4,012lbs, and the base price of a taurus sho is 37,170. The Taurus comes with push button start, the ford mykey which is amazing, 6 cd usb auxiliary and sync, hid headlights, reverse sensing system, keyless entry keypad, 19" aluminum rims, and awd. The genesis comes with push button start, cd auxillery usb and bluetooth phone system. Also everyone says the sho engine is quiet. So how are these cars not in the same league?
Well considering that the taurus has options like a power sun shade for the back seats, heated and cooled rear seats, blis, adaptive cruise control which is on volvos and mercedes and what not, 390 watt 12 speaker 2 subwoofer sony audio system, rain sensing wipers, rear view camera, and advanced sync that shows traffic jams and gas prices. 45k for a car with all of that equipment is a great deal. It's like a lexus gs 350 that starts at 45k but you get it with more hp and more features.
If you've ever been in Taurus with full options, you'll notice right away that the interior materials are made of cheaper materials. Dashboard looks ugly and cheap; knobs and buttons cry out "cheap"; door handles and hinges look cheap; leather seats and trims look cheap; chrome grilles look cheap and toyish; even the detailed paint jobs look cheaper than the Genesis.
Do you know why? That's because Genesis is in the luxury class, and Tauruns is not. Well, except the price tage, that is.
I don't think you know what you are talking about, read a review from car and driver or motortrend. They never mention cheap. You are just saying random shit. And you comment about the es and then the genesis; are you a future teller? You can see what is going to happen? I don't think so. And the price for a sho isn't 45k+ a nicely equipped one is around 40k. Also the sho does 0-60 in 5.2, 1/4 mile in 13.7, the genesis 4.6 does it in 5.5, and 14.0. Face it the taurus is an awesome car.
By the sound of your comments, you've never been in either one of them. Just go to Hyundai and Ford dealers, and try out Genesis and Taurus, before making any more of your stupid comments.
There's quite a bit of difference between Genesis and Taurus in terms of quality materials, in and out. Taurus uses shitty platform, which was used on the failed Five Hundred, and also shares same shitty engine with Mazda 6.
Unlike Hyundai, Ford screwed buyers with cheap platform and engine.
I plan on test driving both of them soon, am just very busy. Care to tell me what engine the Taurus shares with the mazda6? Is it the i4 that isn't available? Or is it the 3.7l v6 when ford uses a 3.5l? I'm not sure. Considering ford's ecoboost 3.5l gets the taurus from 0-60 in 5.2 while the hyundai 4.6 does it in 5.5, and the 1/4 mile in 13.7 for the taurus, and 14.0 for the genesis, I wouldn't say that it is a shitty engine when it gets better fuel economy and is a faster car.

Like I said earlier, Taurus with standard options will outsell Genesis sedan by a wide margin. Hyundai didn't even consider Taurus as the main competitor, anyway. But will the same Taurus customers spend 45K+ money for SHO? I don't think so.
With that kind of budget, they'll first head over to Lexus for ES, and then come to Hyundai dealer for Genesis in the end.
The genesis has all the options you mentioned. Most of which are on the standard.... Uses lexicon sound system, has the temperature seats, the sun shade, rear view camera and the advanced control system that critics praise to be even better then the BMW idrive. Hyundai is the best car for the buck. WIth their quality on 3rd, even beating Toyota, how can u not buy a car that's so much cheaper yet better quality than most?
Great car for the money. Now that Infinity came out with the G37 hardtop convertible, I don't doubt Hyundai would be making their version with the Genesis as well. Hyundai really has taking great strides. Check out the Rhys Millen Genesis drift car - so badass!
Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your position) I don't foresee Hyundai making the Genesis into a convertible...I could be wrong and Hyundai USA may be able to convince them from what I can ascertain the concept of the hardtop convertible has always been the "rich man sports car"

Can't wait for resale values to drop after a year or two since they start at $22k. I've seen used 350z's going for almost $12-13k now. There's probably some out there for even less. It's good to have various options to choose from too like the Stang and Camaro.
And also for logic2reason... REALLY?!?!?! H.P. and torque are not the same thing. If you want to experience the difference; Find someone with a hopped up Honda Civic or the like that has a fair amount of horsepower but low torque numbers like most N.A. inline fours do. Then find something like a Camaro, Mustang or truck with a respectable V8 making about the same H.P. Drive or ride in them and you'll see what I mean.
Just to enlighten Konformation07, the 2010 Mustang GT which is a 315 hp car can be bought for $27,995.00. The new model Chevy Camaro has three different models which are in excess of 300 hp (304 hp to be exact) which are all priced under $30,000.00. Perhaps we should think before we speak Konformation07. Chrysler and GM went bankrupt, not ford, ford is still in good standing and producing great cars. Mustang gt 0-60 5.0 seconds, faster than this car, 1/4 mile 13.5, faster than this car. Interior, better than this car. Hyundai only makes 3 good cars, the rest are all outdated crap that no one buys.

Hmm I find the first quarter not so long ago. Also, if anything they're stock is not doubling because of their sports branch. Mustang sales have been down except for four months this year, but that was so long ago too and that doesnt matter either. The govt stepped in because they were all in debt. Also, ford had a 26 billion dollar debt at the end of 2008 and recorded another 1.8 billion at the end of april this year. Hence, ford is not well. They are still in debt as i said.

Well considering it was in late 2008 early 2009, that was a long time ago to me. And all car sales are down, this isn't the best time for buying anything. It's a recession atm so nothing is going to be good. Also, ford got rid of 28% of their deb in april of this year so they are making progress. And the U.S has trillions of dollars in debt, does it really matter.

They sold only a couple thousand more cars 1st semester of 2009, but last semester of 2008, ford sold around a million more cars than hyundai. And how are mustangs shitty cars? The gt is faster and has a better interior than this hyundai, and it has history and is an icon. And if you want a car for fuel economy, you get a prius, not a mustang. Also the mustang gt had better fuel economy than the camaro ss, and challenger rt, so it's not that bad.

Well considering they just remodeled the fusion to make it awesome, the taurus and added the taurus sho, redesigned lincolns, the ford fiesta and ford focus are coming over, they are coming out with i4 ecoboost engines, a new 5 liter v8, and the lincoln mkt. So I would say that that is a lot of new stuff coming out within a couple of years wouldnt you?

Have you test driven both cars? I test drove both Genesis and the new Taurus fully loaded. You don't know what you're talking about. Taurus costs more, and it isn't even in the Genesis class. Trust me. Taurus belongs in the group of Accord, Camry and Sonata.
Taurus SHO is heavy clunker that can only go fast straight. When you turn, you will feel all the 4000+ pounds of weight. It's a typical shitty American car with shitty loud engine with no turning capabilities.

The base price of a genesis is $37,250 for the 4.6 which weighs 4,012lbs, and the base price of a taurus sho is 37,170. The Taurus comes with push button start, the ford mykey which is amazing, 6 cd usb auxiliary and sync, hid headlights, reverse sensing system, keyless entry keypad, 19" aluminum rims, and awd. The genesis comes with push button start, cd auxillery usb and bluetooth phone system. Also everyone says the sho engine is quiet. So how are these cars not in the same league?

Genesis, with full options, tops out at 42K, but Taurus tops out at north of 45K with full options. Who'd ever pay over 45K for a Taurus?
I think idiots like you, and die-hard Ford fans will choose Taurus over Genesis. There's no doubt Ford will outsell Taurus more than Genesis.
However, and that's the big "however", when the dust settles, Genesis still comes out as the winner, in terms of bang for the buck.
Wait until the new Sonata comes out next year with brand new design.

Well considering that the taurus has options like a power sun shade for the back seats, heated and cooled rear seats, blis, adaptive cruise control which is on volvos and mercedes and what not, 390 watt 12 speaker 2 subwoofer sony audio system, rain sensing wipers, rear view camera, and advanced sync that shows traffic jams and gas prices. 45k for a car with all of that equipment is a great deal. It's like a lexus gs 350 that starts at 45k but you get it with more hp and more features.

If you've ever been in Taurus with full options, you'll notice right away that the interior materials are made of cheaper materials. Dashboard looks ugly and cheap; knobs and buttons cry out "cheap"; door handles and hinges look cheap; leather seats and trims look cheap; chrome grilles look cheap and toyish; even the detailed paint jobs look cheaper than the Genesis.
Do you know why? That's because Genesis is in the luxury class, and Tauruns is not. Well, except the price tage, that is.

I don't think you know what you are talking about, read a review from car and driver or motortrend. They never mention cheap. You are just saying random shit. And you comment about the es and then the genesis; are you a future teller? You can see what is going to happen? I don't think so. And the price for a sho isn't 45k+ a nicely equipped one is around 40k. Also the sho does 0-60 in 5.2, 1/4 mile in 13.7, the genesis 4.6 does it in 5.5, and 14.0. Face it the taurus is an awesome car.

There's quite a bit of difference between Genesis and Taurus in terms of quality materials, in and out. Taurus uses shitty platform, which was used on the failed Five Hundred, and also shares same shitty engine with Mazda 6.
Unlike Hyundai, Ford screwed buyers with cheap platform and engine.

I plan on test driving both of them soon, am just very busy. Care to tell me what engine the Taurus shares with the mazda6? Is it the i4 that isn't available? Or is it the 3.7l v6 when ford uses a 3.5l? I'm not sure. Considering ford's ecoboost 3.5l gets the taurus from 0-60 in 5.2 while the hyundai 4.6 does it in 5.5, and the 1/4 mile in 13.7 for the taurus, and 14.0 for the genesis, I wouldn't say that it is a shitty engine when it gets better fuel economy and is a faster car.

Wait until Hyundai Sonata comes out with its new 2011 model, then compare Taurus with Sonata.
Like I said earlier, Taurus with standard options will outsell Genesis sedan by a wide margin. Hyundai didn't even consider Taurus as the main competitor, anyway. But will the same Taurus customers spend 45K+ money for SHO? I don't think so.
With that kind of budget, they'll first head over to Lexus for ES, and then come to Hyundai dealer for Genesis in the end.

The genesis has all the options you mentioned. Most of which are on the standard.... Uses lexicon sound system, has the temperature seats, the sun shade, rear view camera and the advanced control system that critics praise to be even better then the BMW idrive. Hyundai is the best car for the buck. WIth their quality on 3rd, even beating Toyota, how can u not buy a car that's so much cheaper yet better quality than most?

Great car for the money. Now that Infinity came out with the G37 hardtop convertible, I don't doubt Hyundai would be making their version with the Genesis as well. Hyundai really has taking great strides. Check out the Rhys Millen Genesis drift car - so badass!

The cars were already built, and some were even shipped. Prototype in this case equals normal track version can't drift for crap. I buy most everything based on where it's built, tools, vegetables (grown, not built, i know) clothes, and cars. If it's American, good, if not, I'll take a look around to find something American.

I say if you like it, buy it. I love the genesis because of the sleek interior. Its faster than what i have now and i can modify it a lot easier but not sacrifice the luxuries. I say go Hyundai, but i also say go Chevy and any otehr car retailer out there that makes a car that catches the eye of OUR crowd. We are all alike in we like cars and going fast, and fast is different concept for everyone. God Bless Guys =) P.S. I LOVE my Genesis. Its just plainly put a nice car. And pretty fast too.

Can't wait for resale values to drop after a year or two since they start at $22k. I've seen used 350z's going for almost $12-13k now. There's probably some out there for even less. It's good to have various options to choose from too like the Stang and Camaro.

If you want to experience the difference; Find someone with a hopped up Honda Civic or the like that has a fair amount of horsepower but low torque numbers like most N.A. inline fours do. Then find something like a Camaro, Mustang or truck with a respectable V8 making about the same H.P. Drive or ride in them and you'll see what I mean.

Just to enlighten Konformation07, the 2010 Mustang GT which is a 315 hp car can be bought for $27,995.00. The new model Chevy Camaro has three different models which are in excess of 300 hp (304 hp to be exact) which are all priced under $30,000.00. Perhaps we should think before we speak Konformation07. For a company to keep the tuners in mind and design a whole platform for us in the almost silvia spirit is down right awesome. Not to mention the engine was part of THETA. If you dont know what it is, Look it up. Mitsu, Niss and lots of others made this engine a very capable platform. AND AFFORDABLE

I love the new Mustangs,Camaros,and Challengers(even though its dumb chrysler used the same chassis as the huge 300s or Chargers,so its a pig)the Camaros couldve been lighter,even though a 300 hp base model is wicked,and the new mustangs are the quickest,best handling GTs ever.But I also love the 370s,great performance,looks,price,but I have to say,Hyundai suprised the hell out of me,the Genesis is an amzing car.Oh and something else,that poor EVO with cameras all over it :'( theyre not for that

well friend u gotta think this way... which car doesn't resemble another car at all? remember japs used to make lexus look like mercedes? not too long ago? and no body said anything, now Hyundai wants to step up and the did to the top level...and all of a sudden all this stupid haters whine and cry...(not telling u that ur a hater or stupid).
